Kavala is a great Aegean port town, not too little, not too big. It offers an amazing value for travelers since it has great bars, cafes and restaurants at a very reasonable price. It has something for everyone, history, culture, shopping, cuisine. There are some luxury places and some cheap (yet very good) places. In the summer also offers easily accessible beaches.

A great city!
A great city! The old town is beautiful and the views of the city are amazing! The center is easily walkable and the shops combine both big chains as well as small local shops, so everyone can find what they are looking for. There are a myriad of options for coffee or food. We had the best fish in Kavala! Lastly, the beaches were by far the best in Northern Greece, with fine sand and crystal clear waters! All in all, it is definitely worth a visit!

A beautiful city with picturesque town planning. An interesting piece of history. Variety of shops, delicious food, fresh seafood. Fresh fruits and vegetables. Every Saturday there is a large market in the city with agricultural products of producers from the region. Parking problems. Not enough parking spaces. There are only three paid parking lots in the central part. One of them is by the port, which is quite far from the city center.TsenkaBulgaria

Maria host us the best possible way: prepared a clean appartment, cozy beds, and gave us tips on places to be seen ( beaches, the old city center ). Just near the appartment it's a pizza restaurant with tasty recipes. After each day we relaxed on the nice appartment's terrace, sharing impressions and planning the next day's adventure. It is an old but fully renovated building that gives you the feeling that you are part of the old city while on the other hand you have inside all the comfort you need !
