Rayong was our stopover from Koh Samet island back to Bangkok airport and leave the country. So, two nights to facilitate the transfer was just enough. There is nothing to see around here. The night market is small and unattractive. It's just a remote town with little character, not really a touristic attraction.

May be not the right time to visit but it was so boring!
May be not the right time to visit but it was so boring! The beach was full with garbage, water oily and unhealthy for swimming. The positive note was the mangrove forest for daily walk and birdwatching.

Rayong is east of Pattaya, and is a much better family friendly to visit. It's known for the beautiful beaches, nice food, jungles. To my knowledge, there isn't any public transportation, so you'll need to rent a car or a motor scooter (make sure to have a license!).

The beach was beautiful but on occasion got covered in plastic rubbish from a small river outlet further up the coast. Sadly the blatant double charging system for foreigners was abundantly in place despite there being very few travellers there. Choose your restaurant wisely as some members of our group got food poisoning from a seafood restaurant. There are some very good and some well priced mixed nationality restaurants along the beach front. Highly recommended is Ryan’s Bar where the food is clean well cooked and a great price. The best coffee in the world is served at Poem Coffee shop. Try it! Returning for Xmas so must be good

It is a very sleepy place with beautiful beaches Monday to Thursday
At weekends the population quadrupled with locals
Like everywhere the area is expanding with new hotels and accommodation but it is still a great part of Thailand to visit

What i liked was the calm beaches and streets , excellent for a. Holiday , Liked our. Stay in ME Condo and the Rayong Aquarium..Maaruam beach is a must visit....
One negative aspect is the attitude of the Metered Taxi drivers in the Bus station who advertise as Metered but cheat by quoting double prices , wish the authorities have regular check to avoid tourist disappointments..
The bikes and Songtheaw guys are helpful....
This property was literally spotless . Everything I needed in there was supplied . Very spacious room and just felt like home for me . The location was excellent , overlooking the beach and The Gulf of Thailand . As for the owners Dave and Amy , the best hosts I could ever dream of . Nothing is too much trouble for them and I will sadly leave having made two good friends . One more thing I have to mention is the food and in particular the breakfast . The best breakfast in Thailand without doubt . I will be back very soon
The perfect place to relax, recover, recharge. So beautiful and peaceful. And so many things to see and discover on the property, or just do nothing floating in the pool or lounging somewhere in the shade. Aaron, the owner has lots of insider info about where to eat or what to see and he can help getting to and from the place. The most beautiful, endless beach is only 500m away. I would visit anytime again!
Great place to stay, especially for those who want to rest & relax. Pool in front of my bungalow so went for a swim every day. Beach nearby about 2km away and bikes are freely available to get you there, which I did. Good restaurant - BeeBee - walking distance from Bulan serving good Thai and farang food. Lastly the lovely and adorable kittens made my stay truly awesome.
There has never been a better or more enjoyable holiday. Nice staff, Clean cozy green condo. Sounds of nature and tranquillity. Delicious welcome water. If I'm in Thailand again, I'll definitely relax here. I recommend it to lovers of nature and tranquillity! For lovers of beach holidays and parties, this is not the place for you.
It’s my first experience to have stayed in resort type accommodation. The room made from wooden and has a swimming pool too. When I arrived they give me bicycle and suggested to go beach which more convenient (beach is just 1000-1200 meters). They have free water for drinking. The staff are good and friendly. 推荐你们来这边住一下
Brand new and great location, right next to the beach. Has a small bar and food vendor next door plus a 7/11 just down the road. Staff where amazing always willing to help. Breakfast brought to the room every morning. Rooms where new, large and clean with good wifi. Brilliant place to stay for a peaceful getaway.
The apartment was very clean, it had a fully equipped kitchen with a big fridge, ac and fan.The bed was very comfortable. Plenty hot water. We were on the 12th floor with a balcony overlooking the beach and mountain. We had a restful and relaxing stay as there were no noise at night.
Location of the hotel at the Saeng Chan beach is great; the sea view is beautiful. Also the facilities like the two swimming pools, the bowling lanes, snooker table and other facilities are great. There is also sufficient parking space available. The suite type rooms are spatious.
The location was great! Many restaurants just a short walk away and even more choices with 3-5 kilometers along the beach. The host was great to deal with and the place was roomy and in a nice gated neighborhood. Great stay for a family or for a couple.
We stopped in Rayong after a holiday on Koh Kood. It was great to relax a bit in the hotel by the amazing pool, kids really enjojed it. Its also next to the markets, as said, so fir me it seem as a perfect stop on the way back to Bangkok.
Really close to the beach and the fantastic new mangrove walk. Set in what feels like a small village even though it's close to the centre of Rayong. Good wifi in the rooms.
