We enjoyed the opportunity to visit different valleys around Finkenberg depending on the weather. Heavy cloud, rain (and snow above 2000m) prevented us going very high, but the forests and river walks were beautiful.

Superbly convenient location for skiing. But Mayrhofen is only a 9 minutes' bus ride away, and it is itself directedly connected to the skiing area by two big cable cars, so staying there is a serious, realistic option.Rui_AsadaGermany - 10Scored 10

The apartments are very comfortable for families. Special thanks to the care of Daniel, who was very welcoming, met us at check-in, arranged a daily free and comfortable trip to the ski lift, answered all our questions and kindly arranged our departure.

Liked - easy access to lifts with good free car park - very civilised! Didn't like - Finkenberg is a rather cramped resort on a hill, making it somewhere you may not feel inclined to wander around.

Beautiful small town up in the mountains, sunny and quiet at the bottom of a very big ski domajn and not to far from the glacier Tux. Shops close very early (latest 18:00), helps you save good money on things you don’t need. There are a few restaurants along the main road, good food and not very pricey. Reservation may be neccesary in high season. There is also a nice apres ski at the bottom station of the cable car, in the town if you like to party in your ski clothes. Mayrhofen is a short drive away and roughly 20 km away there is an amazing aqua park well worth visiting (20 eur/adult 10/ kid <15 yo for 3 hrs of various pools and sauna)

The overall standard of the hotel and the service of the stuff were very satisfying. I can recommend stay there to all travelers. :) The room was very comfortable in very way, clean as well. Unfortunately I had stayed only one night before I started the Berliner Höhenweg trekking so I could not have enjoyed the hotel into its full potential. But I imagine the longer stays are as comfortable as one-night stay if not more :)MartinaSlovakia

Nice and well-equipped kitchen and also a bathroom, plenty of towels, hairdryer, two sinks. The hostess was very kind and helpful. A ski room next to our apartment, as well as a whirlpool. The view from the living room is lovely. The kitchen worked well and the TV allowed us to watch Netflix. It is a short drive to the Finkenberg gondola, which is the best way to access the Mayrhofen ski area. Also, the hosts are very nice.

The hotel has a handy place to store skis, lots of parking, big rooms, and a good variety of breakfast foods. Although breakfast started to get a bit monotonous after five days, I still liked it.
