We booked this room because it was close to the Tampa Airport. It was great. The room was comfortable with lots of room. The bed was wonderfully comfortable. And best of all the Airport was less than 15 minutes away, which was the best for our very early morning flight. Spent one evening at the Straus, a day adventure in Clearwater/Dunedin, Church in Tampa. Enjoyable. Dinner At Bon Appetite in Dunedin on Mother's Day. Delightful weekend. Downtown area by riverwalk was excellent. Lots to do. Highly recommend Si-am Thaimerican Restaurant on Franklin St. Best around. Lot's of parking available, just google lots. I would not!
I would not! The room that we stayed in was Very outdated especially for the price. The hotel had a smell of dog once you entered the lobby and smell on the floor we stayed on was even worse. The tile on celling on the floor that we stayed in was missing. We wanted a none smoking room because we do not smoke and can not stand the smell of it and the room clearly smelled of smoke and the hallway was even worse. The beds was very thin and uncomfortable. To top it off they tell you that the food and drinks are complementary, AND IT IS NOT! They charge a 200 holding fee and it will come out of that. The food was not good we had wings and they were so huge it was unbelievable we did not eat them. I even called and spoke with a gentlemen and he couldn't even explain it. He know its confusing and hard for him to explain. They also charge for daily parking. My sister and her husband stayed just down the street at the Hampton Inn and the overall hotel and especially their room was so much better. I was only there for one night before joining the cruise. I did walk to the mall, although i stood at the bus stop. I saw a bus coming but then it turned onto another street. Loved Tampa Didn't love the shower tub combo.. If I was old i couldn't have used it. Crawl over the tub to get in. Shower sprayed water all over the floor even if your careful. Slippery floor wet from over spray. Someone is going to brake a hip. I wouldn't want to clean up after a shower. What a mess.

The location was good but only because we had cars with us. The neighborhood is up-and-coming but we felt safe. The kids even left their bikes and skateboards on the front deck overnight, and no issues. We were about 40 minutes from all of the major Tampa beaches, and only about 15 minutes from fun downtown spots.AnaColombia

Jordan, the front desk receptionist was exceptional! She's was so pleasant and professional. She was so willing to assist visitors as needed. This hotel is in a top location and many rooms have a beautiful night view of downtown Tampa. Dont forget to look up to the ceilings. They still show the beauty of what this hotel was like at one time.

We checked in early and couldn't get into our room but our luggage was stored and we were offered a ride to a shopping center by their free shuttle service. We also got the shuttle service to the airport the next morning at 5 am. The room was clean and larger than expected. We would definitely return to this hotel if we are ever in tampa again.
