PS has improved since my last visit, COVID is in the rearview mirror and the town is alive again! The homeless situation is very much improved! The Zoo is a must-see as well as the Air Museum! Don't forget to visit the reservation for some great hikes and hopeful big-horn sheep sitings! And don't forget the tram!

Famous Palm Springs seems now to be more of a typical mass...
Famous Palm Springs seems now to be more of a typical mass market tourist town, with 2 major, long streets that include many big & small shops, restaurants, bars/clubs, & a 3rd side street that also has some of same but is more run-down & busy with 'drive-thru' local traffic & many condo complexes, some of which look somewhat 'run-down'.
Still, PS is luckily located right below a moderatly high series of desert mtn peaks which makes for a 'different', scenic Backdrop. While there could be even more semi-tropical Flowering plants placed downtown, there are certain areas where they stand out, making for some incredible visit-Pics. Other than a Casino& hotel complex a block or two away from downtown, the rest of PS seems old & run-down, but, now old desert towns tend to look that way.
Also, there are some other interesting, and even more upscale/modern towns just 4-5 miles south along Palm Canyon Dr. (or hwy 111), that are worth visiting or staying in (though usually at higher cost).

Loved the vintage vibe and history of the hotel.
Loved the vintage vibe and history of the hotel. Very clean. Alex takes care of everything from checkin to maintenance. Very efficient. Appreciated pet policy being that it is such a small common space. Place could use new towels and linens. However the size of the bungalos made up for it. Really enjoyed our stay and would def consider staying again.

We love Palm Springs and have stayed at several properties...
We love Palm Springs and have stayed at several properties there, but after our stay in the (glorious) Ricardo Suite at the Velvet Rope we have a vacation home to return to from now on. David Rios who designed all the suites and was our host, plus Kevin and Jeffery were as warm and accommodating as can be! We were delighted with every aspect of the hotel (touring many other suites there was also a visual treat), terrific pool deck, and we look forward to our return!!
The Life House is a beautiful boutique hotel experience located perfectly central to all things Palm Springs. The property is impressive, with all the amenities you could ask for. The staff is so attentive and take pride in serving your every need. From the most comfortable bed to great you every evening, to lavish Le Labo products in the perfect pressure shower. Make sure to visit Minerva's for a breakfast sandwich before heading to the pool where sun and fun and maybe a few cocktails await you.
We are Parrotheads (Jimmy Buffett fans) and so went for the ambiance and decor -- and we got both in spades. The hotel rooms and public spaces were clean and airy, a little retro (it's the old Palm Springs Riviera Hotel) and were filled with tropical and nautical decor. It was just lovely and fun. The restaurants on site served great food (including maybe the best fish tacos we've ever had) and the staff went out of their way to be friendly and helpful in a really noticeable way.
This hotel was amazing - Great vibes, staff facilities. The room was amazing and so spacious. The decor through out was eye catching and kitsch yet modern. It gave ultimate palm springs vibes. Parking was great, access great, location amazing. Honestly there wasn't anything to hate (other than pool / jacuzzi closing slightly early but appreciate 9pm is still late but would have liked a late night dip.) I can not wait to stay here again
The hotel is conveniently located south of Palm Springs, only 5 to 10 minutes drive from downtown. So pretty easy to go out and about if you’ve got a car, not so easy if you don’t. The employees are very friendly and always there to assist you. The receptionists, the valet, management, housekeeping, pool attendants and bartenders are all so accommodating and will go above and beyond to make sure your stay is amazing.
Totally gorgeous hotel, and in absolutely pristine condition. The rooms are a really good size and very comfy. The WiFi is great all over the hotel. The staff are all so friendly and welcoming. If we're ever back in Palm Springs this hotel will be our only choice. It is also right in the center off the town and only 100mtrs away from the shops and restaurants.
This is a nice and clean budget hotel if you do not wish to stay in downtown Palm Springs. The staff are very nice and helpful. The outdoor pool is large and clean but water did not appear to be heated. There is a nice diner in the area of the hotel, excellent for breakfast and lunch. Another diner is about 5-minute walk away.
Perfect location, warm pool, spa like feel to the hotel. The owners took great care in remodeling this mid-century hotel.
I can't say enough about this boutique mid-century hotel. This is my new go-to place in Palm Springs to stay.
Did I mention that the owners are on site for anything that you need.
This was my fourth time staying at this hotel. In the past I’ve visited with friends, this time with family. There are great food and drink options on site near the pool, as well as multiple restaurants within walking distance. It’s also very close to downtown Palm Springs!
The mid-century modern look was great. The private bungalows were fantastic. Old Hollywood vibe. The beds were very comfortable. The location to downtown Palm Springs was great. A short 5 min drive. Even though we did not have dogs, I appreciate the Hotel is dog friendly.
The hotel grounds are very well
maintained and the location is amazing! Right in downtown Palm Springs. The staff was very friendly and I’m sure they would have been willing to help had we run into any issues (which we didn’t!)
-loved the boutique feel of the place and decor very Palm Springs style
-all rooms are located directly by the pool
- as there are only a few rooms there is not a lot of people
-happy hour with wine and snacks
I like that it was near the casino and in walking distance to downtown Palm Springs. I did like the staff (very friendly)I did enjoy the affordable buffet breakfast. Hotel decor and the rooms are decent.
Nice and Cozy, and the owners were extremely nice! I had a great time here. My 7 year-old son didn’t even want to leave the hotel. I’d stay here if I have a chance to come to Palm Springs.
Everything was amazing. The hotel is awesome. The staff was really nice. We got a welcome in cocktail as soon as we arrived. Location is perfect for Palm Springs.
Amazing experience.
Caliente Tropics is a nice motel/hotel in Southern Palm Springs. They have a nice pool area, comfy rooms and friendly staff. They offer great value for money.
The Inn at Palm Springs is one of the cleanest hotels I’ve ever visited. The owners are charming and an absolute treasure of information about Palm Springs.
