Mostly visited with family but did eat out a fair bit. We ate at The Famous Chinese Restaurant, Patrinos, Murietta and at the market. No complaint about any of our meals but found prices higher than what we are used to back in Saskatchewan.

I most liked the mountains. We always eat at CommuniTea.
I most liked the mountains. We always eat at CommuniTea. All tourist towns should have free parking. Since Canmore took away most of the free parking and turned it into paid we do not visit anywhere near the amount we use to. Canmore was our 'go to' instead of Banff. (Horrible parking there) We also live in a tourist town and our parking is free. the tourists are way less aggressive with their driving. Also having to use a electronic device on a machine to park is nasty. Very invasive

Beautiful area with lots of options for outdoor adventurers and foodies alike. Cute little downtown with lots of shops and places to eat. Nice little bubble tea spot, and enjoyed eating at a place called Iron Goat. I like that it is quieter and less touristy than Banff (just a 15-ish minute drive away). My friend loved hiking Ha Ling a year earlier, and we loved East End of Rundle this year.
Grassi Lakes is an easy and beautiful hike too.
Climbing spots like Grotto Canyon are cool, there's even a climb around some pictographs which is really neat.
A friend got married in late April at Silvertip Resort in Canmore, it was a beautiful set up with mountains in the background for the ceremony, and a cute rustic cabin-y feel for the reception inside.
Would recommend Canmore to anyone. :)

Canmore has everything one needs for enjoyment and...
Canmore has everything one needs for enjoyment and necessities. It is close to both Banff and Kananaskis Country for skiing, shopping, biking, hiking, lots of dining options, historical sites…and more. There is something for everyone! If you like being independent, opportunities for self-guided activities abound. If you want guided tours, there is everything from dog sledding to heli-tours, rafting to mountain biking…hiking to yoga. It’s the best value for the money spent! And the scenery is unbeatable.
We were here for just one night, we were in Canmore for a wedding. Location was perfect, close to the Nordic Center and close to downtown. Room was bigger than expected, bed was super comfy, view was a giant mountain! It’s not the newest hotel but it’s super cute walking into it, lodge vibes. Room was clean and the fridge worked! We were super happy. Also, the front desk took care of our taxi arrangements so that was fantastic!

Good location a little bit outside of Canmore but still very close to downtown area. Around 20-30 Minutes walk.
The room we got for two queensize bed was quite big. Even though it was right next to the elevator, we could not hear anything from the lift.
The Hotel did not offer a regular breakfast but a kind of breakfast to go for just 5$. It was a very good value and enough for us to start into the day.
The property is quiet, in a great location and we sure enjoyed the hot tub after our long days hiking. We sure love having the kitchen, living room and bedrooms while away from home. So much better than a hotel. My biggest reason for booking is it was very reasonably priced! I’m really glad I did. The suite has everything you need. I will definitely stay again. It’s my new favourite in Canmore!
The location is totally awesome, the views of the mountains (to the front and back of the hotel) are amazing! The staff were incredibly polite, friendly and welcoming. To be honest we only stayed here because we couldn't get into Banff, but we were so glad we did stay at the Northwinds in Canmore - the town is lovely, has great restaurants and the hotel was superb.
Very nice hotel to stay. 20mins to Banff Town. Staffs are very friendly, room is clean and comfortable. There are many restaurants close by. Breakfast is included which is nice. We understand the price goes up in summer, We have to pay over 1000 Canadian dollars for two nights, but overall, we satisfied our stay at Pocaterra Inn & Waterslide.
If you want a hotel different from any other in Canmore, stay here.
Quiet location, beautiful view, spacious room. We stayed in room #7.
Cosy outdoor seating space, a well-tended garden, delicious home cooked breakfast included. Staff friendly and helpful. A highlight was their granola, which can be bought onsite.
The room with kitchenette is very convenient to be autonomous, with some pots, plates, bowls and cutlery.
The hotel is close to the center of Canmore by car and next to the highway, which is very convenient to visit.
The room is clean, but the sheets are old and it smells very strong of cigarette because of the carpet.
the staff were super friendly and welcoming! the breakfast was great and had lots of options for everyone when you paid for it. the room was clean and spacious. was very affordable compared to other hotels in the area or Banff. was also pet friendly, next time I come to the area I will for sure be bringing my pup!!
It was the cheapest hotel we could find in Canmore, standard motel rooms but clean and comfy. Our kids enjoyed the playground and hot tub, which we had to ourselves both times we used it. There's even a great view of the mountains from our window in the morning.
Gorgeous loft room, gorgeous location, the bed was extremely comfortable & the staff were absolutely lovely. Convenient location to both the city centre of Canmore & a short drive to Banff itself. I hope to stay again if we get back to Canada in the future.
Amazing, cozy and rustic feel. Unique decor for a unique experience. Felt like a true stay in the mountains and would probably would stay here over a cheaper rate than a chain hotel! plus the Rocky Mountain product are used as well - the cherry on top.
Next to the train tracks so you can hear the trains come past
Beautiful mountain view from the room
Very central in Canmore and not too much of a drive to Banff
The breakfast in the on-site restaurant was great and a reduced price for hotel guests
The hotel is located closer to doantown Canmore. It is also close to many attactions, such as Canmore museum , and Geoscience center, etc. In general, it has a spacious and comfortable room, the friendly staff, and the convenient location.
We didn’t know we’d love Canmore more than Banff! 😬 Every summer we go to Banff but this year we decided to stay in Canmore! Everything is great! Highly recommended destination with this kind of hotel! It’s perfect!
Location was great only a short drive to Banff or Canmore.
Secluded which meant it was quiet but still close to the trans Canada highway
Host was very helpful and staff there went above and beyond to help
our favourite hotel in canmore. so cozy so comfortable and has everything you could ever need. also location is the best. in walking distance of everything. loooooved the hottub.
Very nice hotel. Loved the whirlpool to soak in after spending the day walking around Canmore. Would recommend and stay again. Bonus for Veteran parking at front doors.
