Onyado Yuinosho, Shirakawago ligt in Shirakawa, op 45 km van Openluchtmuseum Hida Minzoku Mura, Hida no Sato, en biedt accommodatie met een gedeelde lounge, gratis privéparkeren, een restaurant en een... Fantastische ervaring gehad. Beste hotel in japan. Klant vriendelijk proper en fijne ruime kamers. Super mooie omgeving zeker aangeraden.

Clean and newly furnished. Large and comfortable room. Quiet. Close to the train and bus station. Great service staff. Delicious breakfast.

Oyado Koto No Yume ligt op slechts 2 minuten wandelen van het Station Takayama en biedt kamers in Japanse stijl met een kleurrijk tintje. The staff were so kind and accommodating, and truly tried to go above and beyond for their guests. Every time we came back to the hotel we were greeted with an enthusiastic welcome back and ushered into the warmth and comfort of the reception area. Breakfast was exceptional and beautifully presented. The hotel also arranged for our luggage to be sent to our next destination which was extremely helpful as it meant we didn’t have to worry about storage lockers during our visit to nearby Shirakawa-go. Overall it was a wonderful experience and we’d be beyond delighted to come back.

Historical Ryokan Hostel K's House Ito Onsen is gevestigd in een 100 jaar oud, historisch monument in Shizuoka en ligt op 7 minuten lopen van het JR treinstation van Ito. I have been wanting to go to Ito for a very long time and when we started looking for places to stay I saw this gorgeous Ryokan. My family and I stayed there for 3 nights and we were blown away by how amazing it was! The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming and the room itself was gorgeous and cozy. However my favorite part would have to be the onsen water itself after adventuring around a lot of central Japan the past couple weeks a soak was what we needed and K's house did not disappoint.

Miyama Ouan Kyoritsu Resort ligt in de rustige Hida-bergen, en biedt traditionele accommodatie met warmwaterbronnen en uitzicht op de natuur. This is the best hotel we have stayed at!! We loved everything about it. The staff were friendly and accommodating. They helped us with our bags and showed us to our room. The restaurant staff were also fantastic. Our room was beautiful and peaceful. The private bath was like nothing I have seen before. So cool! Overlooking the quiet forest. The beds were comfortable, cozy and the sliding doors hardly let any light in. The womens public outdoor bath is exactly like the pictures, overlooking trees with an amazing red autumn colour tree at the front. It was just so beautiful. There is also a sauna and cold plunge in the women's bath as well as ice cold water to drink after the hot bath. I even had the public bath to myself on the second day which was so cool! The hotel provides great amenities in the lobby and the room. Water, local sweets and shampoo/ soap in the room as well as additional toiletries as you check in. At night there are local snacks, ice water and sake in the lobby. In the lounge they had beer, wine and local apple juice at night. Tea and coffee available in the daytime. There was also ice lollies and milk for after the public bath. The outdoor private baths which are on a first come first served basis were also beautiful. We were able to use them often on our stay which I was glad about as I initially worried they would be too busy. They open til late too. The outdoor deck has a fire pit at night overlooking the trees it was so peaceful. We had the hida beef at dinner which we cooked ourselves on the grill, a great experience. It may be better to book this hotel direct as we didn't realise we hadn't booked breakfast and dinner. Luckily they had space for us when we checked in. There is a free shuttle from the bus station although it is a short walk if you don't have heavy bags. We did so called them via pay phone upon arrival and they were there within 5mins.

横川温泉湯殿ととのゆ bevindt zich in Shimoda, op 33 km van Koibito Misaki (Kaap van de Geliefden), en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis privéparkeren en een gedeelde lounge. The location was perfect for getting away from the busy streets of Tokyo, though I highly recommend renting a (small!) car to get here, as it is tucked away from public trsnsportation routes. Our room was clean, surprisingly well equipped and comfortable. Service was spot on, communication with our host was easy and quick. We never saw any of the staff though, which made the quality of service just that much more impressive. We were the only guests staying here at the time, so we had all facilities to ourselves (an introvert's dream). There were plenty of instructions in english for all the general how-tos, check-in and check-out was easy using the machine. Prepare to face some bugs around the area, we had a few interesting encounters with moths by the entrance. The room itself was equipped with bugspray and deterrents, though we didn't need them as our room was perfectly wildlife free. The bug screen in the private onsen kept the bugs at bay, allowing us to bathe and sleep while enjoying the sounds and smells of the surrounding nature!

Syukaen Yunohanazen biedt 4-sterrenaccommodatie is gelegen in Atami, op 14 minuten lopen van Atami Sun Beach en 27 km van station Hakone-Yumoto. The dinner and breakfast were wonderful.

Hakuunsou ligt in Takayama, op 48 km van treinstation Takayama en 26 km van Kamikochi, en biedt accommodatie met een restaurant, gratis WiFi in de hele accommodatie en gratis privéparkeren. De rust en de gastvrijheid is ongekend. De gastvrouw is zo ontzettend lief en hulpvaardig. Dacht met ons met wat betreft vervoer. Onsen zijn schoon en je slaapt traditioneel. Het is wat oubollig maar heeft ook weer z'n charme. Bushalte letterlijk voor de deur. Het eten is trouwens ook erg goed! Niets viel tegen echter moet je eigen vervoer of openbaar vervoer gebruiken om ergens een hapje te kunnen eten o.i.d. buiten deze fantastische accommodatie

Iroriyado Hidaya bevindt zich in Takayama, op 18 minuten lopen van treinstation Takayama, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis privéparkeren en een gedeelde lounge. We hebben een erg prettig verblijf gehad bij Iroriyado Hidaya. Het personeel was super vriendelijk en behulpzaam, de kamers waren erg ruim en mooi, het (Japanse) ontbijt was heerlijk, en de onsen erg fijn. Zeker een aanrader om te verblijven. Ons beste verblijf in Japan.
