Mullivanni ja tasuta eraparklaga Matsushima Koumura asub Shiogama pühamust 10 km ja Sendai linnakeskusest 24 km kaugusel. Külaliste mugavuse huvides on Jaapani võõrastemaja eraldi sissepääsuga. The hosts were amazingly friendly, and gave us a very thorough and energetic welcome at the front desk (prepare for a quiz!). This ryokan is well-located though we went there by car.

Mullivanniga Tabinoyado Saikawa asub Kuroishis. Kolmetärnihotell pakub spaaelamust, spaateenuseid ja iluteenuseid. Awesome Ryokan. Everyone is super lovely here. Our room was nice, the futons comfy and they have baths that are open around the clock. They even provide vegan options for food and the food was so good. I really hope to be able to come back in the future. Strongly recommend coming here, especially if you want vegetarian of vegan food. That is quite uncommon to find in a ryokan. In general the atmosphere of this place is awesome. The dining room was especially lovely decorated.

10 km from Nihonmatsu Station in Nihommatsu, mt. Inn(マウントイン） offers accommodation with access to a hot spring bath and public bath. This 2-star ryokan offers a 24-hour front desk and a lift. So friendly and helpful 😊 probably one of the nicest people we met in 🇯🇵 the Inn is located at scenic street and has a real mountain/(winter)sports vibe. Located near the famous Ebishu circuit. There is a iconic pub just diagonal across the street and the owner makes the best Gyoza and yakitori 🥟 the rooms are spacious and clean.

Yuze Hotel asub Kazunos, Appi Kogeni suusakuurordist 38 km kaugusel. Majutusasutusest avaneb vaade aiale. Neljatärni rjokani kõigist majutusruumidest avaneb vaade mägedele. Location is good but no public transportation available. Both breakfast and dinner are included, lots of variety of food

Takasagoya Ryokan asub Zao Onsenis Yamagata piirkonnas. Külalised saavad kasutada avalikku sauna. Kolmetärnihotell asub Zao Onseni suusakuurordist 200 meetri kaugusel. The room size, staff service and food was spectacular. It was as competitive as the service I experienced in Kamikochi.

We wanted to visit the so-called Demon Slayer castle hotel. It’s out of the way so we rented a car rather than take transit. The drive itself was four hours from Tokyo. From the parking lot staff, to front desk, housekeeping and everyone there… the staff were all amazingly kind and patient. Not everyone speaks English, but there are a few. The rooms are spacious, clean, and very ryokan style (tatami) and the onsen was super clean. We had Kaiseki dinner and it was quite the experience. Food was delicious at dinner and the buffet lunch was traditionally Japanese. The stand out for us was the AIZU yogurt and AIZU maple syrup made from local chestnut trees. If anyone at Ookawaso reads this, please accept our thank you. You were all wonderful and we hope to visit from Canada again someday. Thank you for your patience with my eight year old son and our horrible Japanese.

Tokinenoyado Yunushi Ichijoh is situated in the Kamasaki Onsen district in Shiroishi, a 15-minute drive from Shiroishi Station and Shiroishi-Zao Station. Excellent hospitality and amazing dinner and breakfast, you cannot be disappointed

Looduslike kuumaveeallikatega Hohoemino Kuyufu Tsuruya asub JR Tendo jaamast 15-minutilise jalutuskäigu ja Sendaist 50 km kaugusel. Beautiful property. The room was spacious! Even for Western standards. The private onsen was very nice. We did not try the public onsen. The staff were courteous and helpful. Although the staff had limited English proficiency, they all used a translation app to help with communication which was incredibly helpful.
