Historical Ryokan Hostel K's House Ito Onsen is gevestigd in een 100 jaar oud, historisch monument in Shizuoka en ligt op 7 minuten lopen van het JR treinstation van Ito. I have been wanting to go to Ito for a very long time and when we started looking for places to stay I saw this gorgeous Ryokan. My family and I stayed there for 3 nights and we were blown away by how amazing it was! The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming and the room itself was gorgeous and cozy. However my favorite part would have to be the onsen water itself after adventuring around a lot of central Japan the past couple weeks a soak was what we needed and K's house did not disappoint.

横川温泉湯殿ととのゆ bevindt zich in Shimoda, op 33 km van Koibito Misaki (Kaap van de Geliefden), en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis privéparkeren en een gedeelde lounge. The location was perfect for getting away from the busy streets of Tokyo, though I highly recommend renting a (small!) car to get here, as it is tucked away from public trsnsportation routes. Our room was clean, surprisingly well equipped and comfortable. Service was spot on, communication with our host was easy and quick. We never saw any of the staff though, which made the quality of service just that much more impressive. We were the only guests staying here at the time, so we had all facilities to ourselves (an introvert's dream). There were plenty of instructions in english for all the general how-tos, check-in and check-out was easy using the machine. Prepare to face some bugs around the area, we had a few interesting encounters with moths by the entrance. The room itself was equipped with bugspray and deterrents, though we didn't need them as our room was perfectly wildlife free. The bug screen in the private onsen kept the bugs at bay, allowing us to bathe and sleep while enjoying the sounds and smells of the surrounding nature!

Syukaen Yunohanazen biedt 4-sterrenaccommodatie is gelegen in Atami, op 14 minuten lopen van Atami Sun Beach en 27 km van station Hakone-Yumoto. The dinner and breakfast were wonderful.

Oni no Sumika is gelegen in Izu, op minder dan 1 km van Shuzenji tempel, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis privéparkeren en een bar. E V E R Y T H I N G, this place is phenomenal. The staff are fantastic and couldn’t be more accommodating. It’s been a genuine pleasure to stay at this Japanese hotel… A++++++

Atami Sekaie is gelegen in Atami, op 2,5 km van Atami Sun Beach en 25 km van station Hakone-Yumoto, en biedt accommodatie met een restaurant, gratis WiFi en gratis privéparkeren. My mum, who is Japanese but lives in Australia, wanted to enjoy Japanese food & the presentation, variety and well thought out menu was amazing We came for her 96th b/day & the main reasons mum wanted to come to Japan was to eat Japanese food We weren’t disappointed The presentation was amazing- they do say with Japanese food, you eat with your eyes 1st. It was definitely the best Japanese dishes ever that we have had We had Kaseki They offered included pick up/drop off to Atami station which was appreciated We didn’t go out but enjoyed relaxing in our room Watching Japanese TV and movies through VOC that was provided - it made it more enjoyable and the room was very comfortable Having our own Onsen on our balcony was so so enjoyable & relaxing One morning I woke up early and watched the sun riise out of the sea whilst having an Onsen Even my mum could enjoy this Onsen As it was her bday, they offered being able to order a bday cake -& flowers too They also took a photo of us with the cake and surprised us with a framed photo We will remember this trip to Atami Sekaie for years to come A very very special stay!!!

Isoaruki no Yuyado Ushiogumo -6 years or older- ligt in Kawazu, op 37 km van Shuzenji tempel en 45 km van Mount Daruma, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis WiFi in de hele accommodatie en... Really enjoyed staying at Ushiogumo: The facilities are brand-new and impeccable, amazing staff (!!), beautiful location that's close to scenic landscapes. The Kaiseki Ryori dinner was excellent, breakfast was great too! Each room has a private bath on the balcony. There's lots of amenities in the room. Plus, the hotel onsen is made available for private use from 6pm. It's a small property (I counted 7 rooms) and thus feels very cozy. The road in front of the hotel did not really bother us. The terrace windows are well-isolated to block out any noise and there's also the calming sound from the balcony onsen. Extra points for the super-friendly staff!!! ...who can also converse in English so it's no problem for foreign tourists.

AWA Nishi-Izu is gelegen in Numazu, op 12 km van Mount Daruma, en biedt accommodatie met gratis fietsen, gratis privéparkeren, een tuin en een gedeelde lounge. Zeer mooie kamer, mooie onsen, vriendelijk personeel. Fijne ontvangst met thee en je kan proeven van verschillende sake wijnen in de bar

Yumeguri no Yado Yoshiharu is gelegen in Izunokuni, op 10 km van Shuzenji tempel, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis privéparkeren en een terras. Prachtige ryokan met de aardigste medewerkers ooit!

Izu Hokkawa Seaside Guesthouse 伊豆北川の家 is een accommodatie met 2 sterren tegenover het strand in Higashiizu met heeft een tuin, een privéstrand en een gedeelde lounge. Host was really nice and explained everything about area. On our last day he drove us to train station so we wouldn’t struggle with our bags. Hill with train station is very steep and it would take us a lot of time and energy to do it without his help :) Thank you. Will definitely recommend to stay and we will come if we will be in the area.
