If you're looking for place that is a bit tucked in with good privacy but yet close enough to town, this is the place for you. The restaurant has great views of the mountain. The surroundings are quiet, sipping a coffee in the open patio is a super relaxing experience. Staff are friendly and attentive, food is very well prepared and generous, onsen is great. The photos don't do this place justice. You can't go wrong booking this place.

Situated along Tanohara River and surrounded by tranquil nature in Kurokawa Onsen hot spring area, Oku no Yu Ryokan offers charming Japanese-style accommodation and various hot spring baths. We booked a Japanese-style riverside villa with our own private bath — the spacious interior and beautiful outdoor views were well worth the price. There were many different types of public baths too with varying views/ambiances. Dinner and breakfast were top-notch — you can tell that they’re made of quality ingredients.

Kominka neri（古民家煉り） is situated in Miyawaka, 12 km from Azenomachi Ehon Museum, 13 km from Ino Tensho Kotai Jingu Shrine, as well as 14 km from Hisasue Park. I was very satisfied with the room, which was larger than expected and was able to experience a traditional Japanese ryokan. The accommodation seemed to have good privacy as it was located independently, and late at night, you could go out to the front yard and look up at the stars. had a good time Dinner and breakfast were served in a room just for two people, and I was impressed by the high quality and the sincerity with which each dish was prepared.

Providing city views, Beppu Kannawa Onsen HIROMIYA is located in the Kannawa Onsen district of Beppu, 26 km from Crasus Dome Oita and 5.5 km from Beppu Station. We loved our stay! Toji Stay is in the middle of Kannawa, steam is rising from under the pavement, magical! Our host, Miho-San is extremly friendly, her hospitality and kindness is exceptional.

The dinner and breakfast both exceeded our expectations as did all staff we encountered. Appreciated the shuttle back to the station after we checked out.

Professional and warmly receptions and servers. Very spacious room with an awesome view. Onsen at my own room. Dinner and breakfast are delicious! Very quiet area. Loving the vibe of this place!

Featuring 3-star accommodation, Yufuin Onsen Tsukanoma is situated in Yufu, 46 km from Crasus Dome Oita and 1.8 km from Kinrinko Lake. I recently stayed at this onsen resort in Yufuin and it was hands down the best onsen experience I've ever had! The rooms were incredibly spacious, equipped with everything we could possibly need, including a microwave and all cooking essentials. The private outdoor onsen was simply spectacular, offering a serene and private escape. It felt like having our own private villa in the heart of nature. Yufuin itself is a charming town, adding to the overall magic of the stay. What's even more surprising is the affordability of this luxurious retreat. Having stayed in much pricier onsen resorts before, this one stands head and shoulders above the rest. I can't wait to return to this little piece of paradise in Japan. Highly recommended!

In the Yufuin Onsen district of Yufu, close to Kinrinko Lake, Assi House features a garden and a washing machine. Private parking is available on site at this recently renovated property. We had the most wonderful stay at Assi. The host is so warm, welcoming, and generous. Even though she couldn't speak much English and we can't speak much Japanese communication was no problem due to her willingness to use a translation app. We stayed in room 1 which is a Japanese-style room with futons. It was so spacious and had everything we needed and more - a kettle and fridge, sofa, even a massage chair (which was heavenly after walking all day) and our own private patio looking our over the beautiful garden. The breakfast was outstanding, prepared with so much care. There is also coffee, tea and snacks in the kitchen, which was very much appreciated. Bathroom facilities are shared but were clean and tidy and all toiletries - even skincare - was provided. We also enjoyed the private onsen. Staying at Assi feels like you're a guest in someone's home in the best possible way.
