Seikoro Ryokan is located in Kyoto, a 7-minute drive from JR Kyoto Station. Featuring traditional Japanese-style accommodation, it offers a public bath and massage services. This was my favorite hotel. Unfortunately, when I arrived, I was sick from food poisoning and could not enjoy it to the max, but the staff was extremely good to me. I cannot thank them enough. The futon beds were extremely comfortable, all the structure really took me back to almost 200 years ago. I really wanted to get the traditional breakfast, but I was too sick so I got the western one that was delicious. Cant wait to be back.

Everything was top notch, from accommodation to the very friendly and helpful staff. Object has shuttle bus that will take you to JR Kameoka which is great way to get back to Kyoto. Much recommended

Located in Ine, 16 km from Manai Shrine and 16 km from Motoise Kono Shrine, 海蔵寺 宿坊 櫻海 provides accommodation with amenities such as free WiFi and a flat-screen TV. Beautiful little lodging beside the temple. Spacious and very clean with great amenities. The head priest conducts short prayers at 6am that you can join, and it's a few minutes walk to cafes and good food options around Ine.

Offering a garden and inner courtyard view, 祇園の宿 杏花 is located in Kyoto, 300 metres from Gion Shijo Station and 600 metres from Samurai Kembu Kyoto. We had a wonderful stay at Gion Kyoka in Kyoto. The accommodation was clean, with beautiful tatami mats and a serene tea room offering excellent tea. The owners were exceptionally attentive and made us feel very welcome. As it’s located in the heart of Gion, some street noise is to be expected, but the charm and authenticity of the experience more than made up for it.
