Charming little hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Staff speaks English which is very nice! Spacious and beautiful room with comfortable futons and even a Super Nintendo with a big screen connected. Private onsens free to use, 24hrs, no reservation of timeslots thankfully, just walk in when the door is open. We got a complimentary bottle of milk on check-in. Cool game room with massage chair, arcade, games, and feet massagers, very welcome after all the walking we had been doing (ohhhh Japan). We really loved this place!

Ryutakuzenji 宿坊 está en Takasaki, a 28 km de Usui Pass Railway Heritage Park, y dispone de alojamiento con bicicletas gratis, parking privado gratis, jardín y salón de uso común. While the location was a bit out of the way (roughly 25min drive from Takasaki station), it was in a beautiful and quiet spot surrounded by cherry blossoms in full bloom. The room we had was the biggest out of all the places we stayed in Japan, was clean and comfortable, and had a private garden with covered deck and outdoor bath, which was absolute bliss after the hustle and bustle of Tokyo. The hospitality shown to us by the staff was exceptional, and we had no problem communicating through limited Japanese/English. They served traditional meals, which were beautifully presented and a delight to eat, having small servings of lots of different things. We made use of the free bicycles and had a great time exploring the area while getting a bit of exercise.

Kusatsu Hotel Bekkan Wata no Yu (Adult Only) está en Kusatsu, a 45 km de Parque de los Monos de Jigokudani y a 14 km de Mt. Kusatsu Shirane. Todo estaba muy cuidado, el personal fue muy amable, y la ubicación es perfecta. El desayuno tradicional estaba delicioso. Fue el hotel que más nos ha gustado de nuestro viaje por Japón. 🥰

Minakamisansou se encuentra en Minakami, a 36 km de Estación de esquí Gala Yuzawa, y ofrece alojamiento con wifi gratis y parking privado gratis. El mejor hotel de todo nuestro viaje. Las vistas desde la habitacion y el onsen privado a la montaña Tanigawa eran impresionantes. Solo por eso hubiera merecido la pena pero es que además la cena fue riquisima. Más de 10 platillos en los que se veia la intención del chef y el uso de ingredientes de temporada. La camarera que nos atendió tanto en la cena como el desayuno hablaba muy bien inglés y fue encantadora. Repetiría sin duda.

Hanaingen is an adult only accommodation situated in Kusatsu, just a 2-minute walk from Yubatake, or the hot water field in Kusatsu Onsen. Nice staff. Delicious japanese breakfast

This hotel is close by Otaki no Yu, and reasonably walkable to the center of the village. The space was clearly remodeled recently and so the rooms are super nice, clean, and it's clear that the hotel has spent great attention to detail! I also really liked the ease of use of the onsen facilities. I have been to many japanese style inns and this was the most clean, orderly, and good working condition that I've encountered. I also thought it was nice that there are only 4 rooms here so it never felt busy or crowded. The staff were also all very kind and helpful. They made a great breakfast both days, with good variety of dishes and high quality of ingredients. I had a great stay and would definitely choose this hotel again!

Sekizenkan Kashotei Sanso se encuentra en Nakanojo, a 49 km de Estación de esquí de Naeba y a 36 km de Ishidan-gai Steps. Ofrece alojamiento con jardín y wifi gratis, además de parking privado gratis.... One of the most amazing experiences you can have in Japan. Go out of your way to stay here, get early and leave late to explore. Food, bedding, baths, atmosphere, staff. Everything perfection.

El Houshi Onsen Chojukan está situado a orillas del río Houshi y ofrece un baño termal público, alojamientos de estilo japonés con conexión Wi-Fi gratuita y platos de cocina japonesa. Este alojamiento es increíble, muy auténtico y con mucho encanto. Los baños son preciosos y super relajantes. La habitación era enorme y tenía hasta un sillón de masajes.
