This was a fantastic experience that will be on my mind for a long time. The food, the staff, the onsen, the rooms, everything was awesome.

Saunaga Onyado Yuinosho asub 45 km kaugusel Hida Minzoku Mura rahvakülast ja 46 km kaugusel Takayama jaamast. Kohapeal on tasuta eraparkla. Lovely place, beautiful setting, great food, staff very friendly and helpful. It is quite far off the beaten track, so would need a car to get there. About 30 minutes drive from Koyasan on a mountain road. Would be a great base to explore the area over a couple of days.

Overlooking picturesque Kawaguchi Lake in the serene Mount Fuji area, Rakuyu boasts comfortable guest rooms and natural hot spring baths. Free Wi-Fi is provided in the public area. Rakuyu gave us a very good experience in our Kawaguchiko stay. Our room had the best view of the lake, the cocktails were heavy enough to replace dinner! And the shuttle from hotel to Kawaguchiko station made our stay easier to navigate. The private onsen was also a great experience (with a small additional cost).

Just 250 metres from Zenko-ji Temple, Matsuya Ryokan offers simple Japanese rooms with tatami-mat floors, a green-tea maker and an attached Western bathroom. The hotel features public baths. The location couldn’t be better just on the main attraction street and a short walk from the museum on one side or the town center on the other. Spacious Traditional room with comfortable futon and great bathroom. There was also a public bath which was lovely at the end of the day to relax. We had one evening meal there and the food was nice. Staff was very kind (even with our turbulent toddler)

Ryokan Asunaro: A Traditional Japanese Inn in Takayama. Nestled just a 6-minute walk from Takayama Station and the Nohi Bus Center, Ryokan Asunaro offers an authentic Japanese inn experience. The lodging was excellent with the ultimate Japanese experience. The room had every immensity possible and the bed was really comfortable. We would differently stay here again.

Takayama jaamast vaid 2-minutilise jalutuskäigu kaugusel paiknev Oyado Koto No Yume pakub jaapanipärase stiili ja värvikate elementidega tube. Great hotel. Personal was so so kind and nice. Awsome baths for relaxing. Food was amazing 👏

Luxurious ryokan Fuji Onsenji Yumedono is located just 500 metres from Lake Kawaguchiko. This was an exceptional stay. While the onsen doesn't offer a direct view of mount Fuji, we could clearly see it on our drive over thanks to clear skies. When we entered the premises, the staff was attentive immediately. From taking our luggage to making sure we were set up in our room. The room was SPACIOUS, with a lounge area and bedroom with screens to close off sections. The highlight was having our own outdoor bath to enjoy during cold winter nights. Perhaps the most breathtaking aspect of our stay were the meals. We were blown away by our dinner. It was the best thing we ate during out entire trip in Japan (we were in Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto prior). We enjoyed a sumptuous parade of dishes that really showed off the local ingredients. We didn't think it could get better, but breakfast the next day was equally, if not more, delicious. While expensive, we enjoyed a serene getaway with our private outdoor bath and excellent meals. Would love to return.

Located in a 100 year-old Registered Tangible Cultural Property, Ryokan Hostel K's House is located in Shizuoka, a 7-minute walk from JR Ito Train Station. It was very nice and also liked the onsen a lot!

Nestled in the tranquil Hida Mountains, Miyama Ouan Kyoritsu Resort offers traditional accommodation featuring hot spring baths and nature views. LOVE EVERYTHING! Had a perfect stay in Miyama Ouan. From the staff,food,onsen and so on. It was a long drive from Kyoto to Takayama and when the bus arrived from the last station the free shuttle for pick-up is already there waiting for us, probably due to heavy snowfall at that time, THANK YOU! the resort is just a 5-10mins walk from the station but its impossible with all the snow. All the staff are kind and accommodating, they always make sure that your stay is comfortable and pleasant. Love their Yakuta, they let you chose which design you like. The room is spacious ,clean and the view from the bath is great. the onsen is perfect with a bit of snow falling . the view from the restaurant every breakfast is unparalleled. Thank you Miyama for giving me an unforgettable winter experience. Will definitely come back again!
