The location, kindness of the staff and rooms were absolutely outstanding. The hotel itself is a bit worn out and would use a touch of fresh paint, but this is so minor compared to the feeling and you walk out with. All staff was kind and attentive, the views unbeatable, rooms with lots of light and spacious, extra large comfy beds. The surroundings are fantanstic, huge well kept garden that makes you feel peaceful in a buddhist sanctuary. Last but not least, the newly open Spa was a 5- star experience. We stayed for 2 days and I have been at a massage treatment both days, felt reborn after. Highly recommended. The therapists are kind and professional. Big thanks to Sumi and the whole wonderful Team ;-)

We stayed in the heritage room overlooking the Square - and as described you need to climb the stairs to get to this room and the private rooftop area. There are not many places you can get to stay in a hotel with such history and heritage. Very happy with this hotel, and room selection. if you have mobility issues - this may not be the room for you - select an alternate room on a lower floor. Meals at this hotel were fabulous, loved the soda drink menu! i tried nearly all of them ! Meals are served in a very beautiful internal courtyard decorated with wood carvings and plants. Owners and staff were very very helpful with any of the questions we asked, and assisted us with our bags on arrival and departure; organised taxi to the airport (excellent rate). Located on a nice quiet square, and it was magical to sit by the window and watch the scene change during the day. Easy walk from this hotel to the other squares in Bhaktapur. Thoroughly recommend at least 1-2 nights in this city to explore and unwind. Excellent wifi at all time, in our room and in courtyard. We really enjoyed our stay at this Hotel and will defintely be staying here again.

The breaksfast was outstanding and short of nothing. The location was a bit further out from the centre but given the bustling, loud city, this wasn't a negative.
