Beautiful location with a lake and amazing views, a fireplace to keep warm during the cold, biscuits, tea, coffee, salt and pepper provided. Heater in room and bathroom.

Nothing really. Only one night the water went off and we had to wait about an hour or so for it to come back on and warm up. The host did explain that one of the workers forgot to switch the taps off and was very apologetic about the water running out. Other than that, we loved the stay.

Really loved the location! There are a few cabins but you still have your privacy. Lots of greenery and beautiful scenery. Outside braai facilities are private as well. It was noted that there are a few walking trails. We did not have the time to check it out but would love to next time! Loved the peaceful nature and cosy vibe the cabins provide.

Peace and quiet, beautiful location. Nice wooden cottages with good beds and bathroom. Very helpful and kind owners. Great breakfast. In the winter they supply wood for the dure place and electric blankets which are very comfortable, as it can be cold during the evenings and nights. We would definitely book again!

Winter in the mountains is no joke. Although there is a wood stove (wood included), heating blankets and hot water bottles, it was very cold at night. When we woke up it was 5 degrees inside, and outside felt warmer in the sun than inside.

The location was great, clean and with good explanation about the ins and outs. We stayed at the Honeymoon Chalet, which was roomy and romantic.

Lovely chalets in a scenic garden. Nice short hikes. Great location for sight seeing. Friendly staff and owners. Log fire and electric blankets kept us toasty in the evening.

We spent the last days of our holiday at Zur Alten Mine and it turned out to be a great choice! We stayed in a lovely lake-view cabin which was fully equipped with everything you can wish for during your stay. We chose for the served breakfast which was a delight with very tasteful, homemade products and freshly baked bread. The owner Rainer knows the region very well and gave us advise on sightseeing in the area and even on the best route and roads to the airport. Also: go for his restaurant suggestions! You won't regret it! It was definitely a nice end to our tour through South Africa.

A perfectly tranquil location. A comfortable bed and an outstanding homemade breakfast, what more could you want. If you haven’t stayed before I would highly recommend it.

Just that we did not had time enough to enjoy everything we could, there are hikes, breakfast, good restaurants nearby, but our schedule was tight.

The whole place is just so beautiful, the room is super cozy with the fire place, plus Rainer helped us a lot with tips on the Panorama Route and the entrance on Kruger gates, he was super hepful during our checkin. Would def come back.

We liked everything about the property.

Our chalet was located next to a dam, was cosy and well equipped. The property is very centrally situated with easy access to all the attractions.
