We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

South Africathe treatment we received ,the lady there blamed us for opening doors that we didn’t book just because she saw a key lying upstairs and she said it was us who opened rooms we weren’t supposed to open yet she was the one who left the key lying around and she limited us on actually exploring the whole house she told us we not allowed to move out of the room we supposed to be isolated there until our check out she also said we’re not allowed to play blast music which awes us because we booked that house to be free and do whatever we want now we’re limited on not playing music?overall experience is a 3/10 I’m sorry just because of that lady that cleans there

South AfricaThere was no Staff to check us in, Just acess cards to the rooms. Upon arrival I accidentally locked myself outside of the room. With the access card and my phone inside. And It took me a whole hour, of going around the establishment looking for a master card because there was no staff to assist. The bar was empty with no one to assist. Had to alert the owner of the drinks we decided to help ourselves with. The Smoke alarm made beeping noises for a good hour and then would stop. For the two nights we were there. I found a woman eyelashes on the showers the first night there. My phone fell over and when I put my hand under the bed I came with a box of pizza. The other curtain was stuck half open Half closed. Yooh . I was Dissatisfied and disappointed at the same time.

South AfricaI booked and paid for the room through booking.com at 7:45am on the day, I arrived at 8pm, there was no receptionist on the property so I had to call to receive assistance with checking in only to be told that they had given my room to someone else. The lady I was speaking to said her name was Nompumelelo who advised that she is the owner of the establishment, she initially advised me that she would refund me the money I had paid and help me find alternative accommodation. Things like this shouldn't happen, but they did, but my biggest problem is how the situation was handled. Poor customer service skills from the owner as she was very combative, passive aggressive, and seemed more interested in having an argument instead of providing me support. There were plenty of unactioned problems, and she initially told me that the refund would take 20 to 30 minutes. She later advised me that I'll have to wait until the coming Monday. I then later received confirmation from booking.com that the refund would take 7 to 12 days to reflect. Now there I understand that they might not have any control over booking.com's refund processes, but it unacceptable that you fail to deliver on promised actions. 2ndly she promised that she would help find me alternative accommodation. However, she made 0 attempts. Instead, she seemed more interested in when I would be leaving property. They did not take into account the impacts their service failure had on me. I requested compensation where she offered me 20% discount on my next booking, which I am not interested in as I don't trust them enough to rely on them for accommodation again. Not taking into account that the accommodation I found next was 750rands more than what I paid for the original booking and the 300 rands I had to pay for an Uber to Umhlanga, I was not satisfied.
