We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

South AfricaWhen it is cold room is quite cold with no option but to get in bed. Also, TV was in an awkward position, have to look sideways to see it. Entry is a bit of a hassle without a car. Need to make it easier for guests go in and out without hassle, maybe give remote Co trolls for each room...
The pool was excellent, staff was very friendly (they are very liberal by the way). They assist with requests like an extra blanket and such.

South AfricaIt was dreadful! Within 15 minutes, I left! Despite the website saying that bedroom linen would be provided, there were no sheets on the bed! There was just an ugly cover that covered the matress. When I asked, I was told that there was a "duvet'. The host then pulled out a thick blanket that I was supposed to sleep under! There were no "toiletries" ie soap or shower gel that was meant to be provided. 1 toilet roll was provided. There was also a dreadful smell in the room. Honestly! I wouldn't stay there if you paid me! I reckon that all the "good reviews " that are on the website were written by friends wanting to promote their business.
