We loved everything about this property. The location was incredible, right next to the sea where we watched whales breaching close to shore through the day. The apartment itself was immaculate fully kitted out with all the items and equipment that you could possible need. Finally - Tim and Lesley were fantastic hosts. We literally have no idea how we’d improve it. The view is mesmerising and walking to Walker’s Beach was something special. Tim and Lesley make sure that everyone has a great experience. Lots to sea in the surrounding area. We could have easily stayed for much longer and the apartment is well equipped, even with local coffee, fresh milk and cookies. Thank you!!!

Everything was excellent, as always! On top of the great apartment and communication with the host, we were lucky and got to watch a couple of whales frolic right in front of the apartment for over an hour, even though it was quite late in the whale season.

It is such a peaceful Place. Really comfortable and nice appartement with great ocean view, everything in what you need. Lesley and Tim are always really helpful.

Not really a complaint, only worth mentioning: the hosts stay in the second floor with the big balcony (you'll get it from the photos). So you can't book that front front row like one. The studio however is just as perfect!

Everything, the location, the lovely host, all the things you read in the comments But on top of that some small things, like complimentary snacks, tips and advise from the host, etc. The studio has an own mini garden + bbq (lovely), as well as a small balcony.

Whale Tale is the perfect location for whale watching and can be recommended without reservation. We were able to watch several whales a day from our room in mid-November. Tim (our landlord) is very helpful and friendly, our room was very nicely furnished and everything was absolutely clean, fair value for money. P directly in front of the house.

This accommodation is outstanding. We had a lovely time and the owners Tim and Lesley are exceptional hosts. The location is great and we received some excellent advice regarding the area and local restaurants. This stay was part of a trip to South Africa and involved several stays at different locations. Whale Tale was a highlight of our trip. We left some personal belongings behind by mistake and the owners went out of their way to make sure these were returned to us. We would recommend this location and property and want to say a huge thank you to Tim and Lesley for making us feel so at home. Thanks again and we will be returning in the future. Ian &Alison.

Lesley and Tim are soooo lovely! Very nice hosts. We´ve had some good chats also about the culture and the life in South Africa. They both were there whenever we needed them. They had some ideas what we could do during our stay which was also very helpful. The apartment itself is just lovely and has a nice balcony with sea view (perfect for having a glas of wine and do some whale watching).

Beyond all the amazing things this accomodation has to offer, I would like to first of all mention the hosts Leslie and Tim who from the first moment made us feel at home and did everything to make our time in Gansbaai enjoyable. The accommodation is located in the best location ever, on the first line to the sea. We could watch whales for hours from the apartment's balcony. The apartment is a studio apartment, very large, clean, and equipped with all the equipment needed to prepare meals, a large shower, new furniture, and a huge and very comfortable bed. It should be noted that the apartment is a studio apartment (without a garden) on the second floor. I warmly recommend everyone who comes to Gansbaai to come here. This is the place for visitors to Gansbaai.
