The owner, Kara, was very friendly and helpful in providing suggestions about local sites and more generally about Hermanus. The staff who served breakfast were also unfailingly friendly, respectful, and efficient. The location is superb as it is close to the cliff paths and not far from the town centre.

My recent weekend stay at the Hermanus cliff path lodge, celebrating my 51st birthday with my son, was an amazing experience. The host, Kara, and her staff are friendly and always eager and willing to help with any queries and questions. The breakfast was so delicious and with a variety of fruits, cold meats and cheese and hot English, if you so choose. A particularly pleasant aspect was the presence of friendly dogs, who were always eager to offer a cheerful greeting. The lodge's location is ideal for those wishing to explore the area, with the renowned cliff path a mere two-minute walk away. I would confidently recommend Kara's property to anyone planning a visit to Hermanus.

Great family, a home away from home. Lovely destination and central. Rooms are beautiful with lovely hotel feeling in a house. Very accommodating family. Would highly recommend. Great staff as well.

The breakfast was superb. Full English plus fruit starter as well as cold meats. Our bedroom was large with a small lounge area. The bed was King size with good quality linen. The bathroom had a bath as well as a separate shower. Full TV bouquet. The owner, as well as her staff, were extremely attentive and pleasant. I recommend this establishment. Excellent value.

Exiting the property by car a bit tricky because of the busy main road.

Friendly, helpful, and kind host and staff. Clean, comfortable, well-appointed luxury rooms with bar fridge, facilities to make got drinks and satellite TV. Small private garden with table and chairs. Breakfasts were exceptional - coffee, tea, full English fry up, scones, fruit salad, cheese and cold meat charcuterie, and more. Swimming pool refreshing. Central location, close to beach.

The pool was a little green. Would have liked to take a swim but not a major.

We just didn’t stay long enough.

Very clean, newly decorated and comfortable family suite. We were 2 couples so one couple had the larger suite and the other had the smaller room. Both had private showers and bathroom facilities, lots of storage and ample power plugs. Love the in room French press coffee and tea and the complimentary continental breakfast was healthy, fresh and delicious. There is secure and gated parking which was great! The host, Cara, was very welcoming and accommodating.

The price is quite high compared to the space, personal connections, ... you get. We had cheaper and better stays in South Africa

You have everything you need, including a basic breakfast. All is clean and well maintained. Short to the cliff path track.
