There was only one thing that was a small issue - the bed was very high and being very short it was quite a challenge to get in and out of the bed 🙈

The property is superb. Beautiful old cape Dutch house set in delightful gardens - amazing birdlife.

We loved everything - the spacious room (with underfloor heating), the friendly staff, the beautiful historical main building, the spectacular, rambling gardens, the delicious breakfast, the hosts that go way more than the extra mile, the peaceful ambience... Vredenburg Manor House is simply magnificent.

This is such a lovely property and grounds on a quiet road. The bed and pillows were great, overall the room was really clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. We were only there for a night but I would definitely recommend staying here if you are looking for a little oasis escape.

This was a beautiful property and Luke and Leon (the owners) and all the staff were very welcoming. The room was large and beautifully prepared with thoughtful touches like fresh flowers. It opened out straight onto a terraced area with a view of pool and lovely gardens. The breakfast was delicious and cooked to order and we were able to sit outside on the terrace for this. The honesty bar was well stocked and well priced. We had great recommendations for local vineyards and got Ubers easily to the places we wanted to visit. Would have love to have had longer and would happily stay here again!

Everything was perfect

Vredenburg Manor House is a home away from home. Hospitality is written in capital letters at this guest house and every wish, be it a bbq on the private terrace, a very early breakfast or anything else is taken care of by Luke and Leon! The guest house managers know all their guests by name and interact daily. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to take a break from standard service and experience a truly customized hospitality experience.

Turning of from the mainroad the entrance is already beautiful then once you enter via a gate the property, the garden is so nice and well maintained. Then you see the building, simply gorgeous, inside and out. The staff very friendly welcome. The pool area, breakfast, the 2 managers, Luke and Leon interacting with the guests it all made us feel special!

Juice, coffee or tea, fruit and yoghurt, muesli were initial offerings then a choice of cooked option and croissants.

Breakfast was excellent. Option to have in the dining room, on the terrace overlooking the pool and gardens or on the courtyard on the other side of the building. Started with muesli, with fruit and yoghurt, and honey on one day, fruit juice, fresh coffee or cappuccino or tea if preferred. Great choice of cooked breakfast. I went for single or double eggs benedict with either bacon or salmon. Croissant and toast also. The hosts were most welcoming, the staff all very accommodating. Our room was in the main hotel, and our friends were in one of the garden rooms, which had the advantage of a small private garden area and kitchenette.

Returning to stay 7 years after our last visit and Vredenburg is just as wonderful as before. Luke and Leon are the best hosts, the house, rooms and grounds are gorgeous and the service and food exceptional. We can't wait to come back!

Such a spectacular manor house. Beauty from your arrival through the garden to the main house. Keeping the history and feel of the original home, with some modern and personal touches throughout. The rooms are beautifully appointed, with everything you would need and more. The staff make you feel at home and the breakfast was phenomenal! We wish that we had a longer stay on this wonderful property.

Lovely, leisurely breakfast on the outside patio with superb views. Room in the manor house was spacious and comfortable. Aircon kept it cool. Manor house is steeped in history and reception rooms are period appropriate and very tastefully furnished.

A stunning colonial style property with beautiful , well tended grounds and lovely rooms both inside the House and in the outside wing. The staff couldn’t do enough for us and the breakfast was amazing. Would wholeheartedly recommend and return.
