The Spier was absolutely above all our expectations!!! The staff is super kind and friendly, and the room is amazing, cleaned with a fantastic fireplace and heated floor in the bathroom fantastic!! The whole farm provides lot of amenities, and the spa treatments bring you back to life !!! I wish I could come here again!

That we couldn't stay there forever.

From the moment we were greeted with a friendly smile at the gate and offered a glass of wine at check-in we knew that we were going to have a special experience. Service at check-in was exceptional, rooms are spacious, clean with all amenities provided. The best hospitality we have ever experienced in South Africa. Beautifully decorated, amazing, friendly service and exceptional food. Would recommend 1000%

A lot of gardening work was planned outside our room starting at 7am! Grass cutting & trimming was undertaken whilst we tried to sit on our verandah after lunch. A lot of nail gun noise whilst trying to enjoy the pool environment. No do-not-disturb signs in either of our two rooms which resulted in a number of staff knocking on our door for one reason or another. All the above was discussed with the acting duty manager and I was assured that changes would be made.

Complimentary room upgrade was a great surprise for my wife's 60th birthday! The staff were friendly & efficient. Arnu, one of the barmen, was exceptional. He knew his trade well and was interesting to talk to!

Rooms were entirely comfortable (loved the bathroom floor heating) with beautiful big beds and plenty of space. the gas fire gave great ambience and pumped out the heat! The staff were definitely the highlight for us - whether at breakfast, in the bar or restaurant for dinner, they were attentive, friendly and made our experience impeccable. The property itself is stunning. Our only disappointment is that we needed more time to explore it! The picknickery is definitely worth a visit, even if its to take some goods away for the drive home.

We loved our stay at the wine estate. The staff were amazing. The food is incredible, with all the food being farm to fork. There is so much to explore and do around the estate. Fantastic stay.

The room is a little cold for this time of year, we have aircon in the room so it’s ok but would be more amazing once the fireplace is working. Would also be great to have some sandals in the room as the floor in the bathroom is cold.

Beautiful property, massive area to explore within the complex, perfect to just chill, rest and relax. All staff are kind and helpful.

As it’s been newly renovated, everything is beautiful and modern. However the acoustics in the dinner restaurant sound very echoey almost hall like. Despite its very cozy and modern design, I think some attention to this is still needed to better the ambience. As the food is really good and the restaurant is well worth a visit.

The hospitality and welcome was amazing. We felt thoroughly spoilt from the start. The staff were very attentive and the attention to detail made it feel more than a four star hotel. I especially enjoyed the welcome neck massage as a sample of the spa treatments available.

Newly renovated property with such attention to detail and comfort. Everything is perfectly curated. The staff friendly and informative, the food tasty and plentiful, and a pretty space for short walks. The upgraded spa is gorgeous and the treatment was excellent. It was difficult to get in touch before our stay, there was an issue with messages on booking com. The air con in our room was leaking

We loved the smokehouse and had a lovely meal there, really enjoyed the wine tasting and beautiful grounds. We really liked sitting by the lake with a glass of wine in the early evening. While we were there we were lucky there was a light show in the evening which was great.

The wine tasting was very impersonal. The hotel guests get a complementary free winetasting and we got a very short intro, little explanation and could not choose which one of the tastings we want to do. We would have paid for a better experience but we got never asked. The Vasa Restaurant was not so great

nothing really, I was sad we coouldn't get a dinner table when we arrived as it was fully booked. I recommend to book at main prior.

the estate is very big, nice place to do walks, plenty of pools, kids area, the open field is great for kids too. The breakfast was lovely , nice selection and great area to sit by the garden. Food is very fresh and sutainbily sourced. Great over all ambiance.

- safest and cleanest place I have been in the area - really kind and professions staff - there are plenty of things to do in the resort - great breakfast - we really liked the spa and pool area
