it's not a negative and we was warned about it, is the drive to the cottage's. just more of a head's up that a 4x4 would be better than a family car but in saying that we made it to the cottages in one.

hosts Elsa and robin an amazing and do anything for you. attention to detail and lots of communication from them. the place is stunning with lots of trail walks to go on and great views. we stayed in dragon's rock and it was perfect, clean and remote, would stay in a heartbeat again.

Everything! Complete tranquility in the most beautiful location. The attention to detail at Tierkloof is off the scale. The kitchen is equipped with absolutely everything the best cooks will need. The cottage was spotless and we had the best time.

The setup was great, with lots of chill areas for groups, the interior was very cozy, with a fire place that heated up the entire house. The outside surrounding scenery was also absolutely beautiful and was perfect for leisurely Sunday morning walk.

Nothing whatsoever

Loved the beautiful panoramic views from Serenity, the clearly demarcated hiking trails and most of all the beautifully attired unit. Serenity had everything one could hope for, a spacious living area, comfortable furniture, a great wood fireplace, copious amounts of wood, an amazing range of cutlery and crockery and complimentary tea, coffee, olive oil etc. We had a fabulous stay. To top it all the birdlife was amazing despite the cold weather with several species viewed at close quarters from the patio and lounge area. Robin and Elsa were the perfect hosts. We hope to visit again soon.

This was a perfect getaway. Everything one would need for a break. The hot tub, pool, fully equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, excellent wifi, outside (& inside) shower, outside bath and completely private. We loved it.

You need to drive carefully in a non 4x4 but it is well worth the effort.

Wow, what a spot. The views are just amazing and the cottage (Dragon Rock) was perfect - beautifully furnished, amazing indoor/outdoor bathroom and a kitchen that had everything you could possible need. The outside area is brilliant, loads of room, great to have a plunge pool and a hot tub, and the outdoor furniture that is really well thought out. We had a very warm welcome.

Faultless.

Brilliant location in a beautiful setting. Cottage comfort,understated elegance and class. Would go back there tomorrow. Family having their first trip to SA,and this has been top of their favorites. Robin and Elsa were great hosts. A fabulous experience.

I originally thought that some binoculars would be nice, given the nice long views. We mentioned this in the guest book on our way out, and Robin had ordered a pair before we arrive back home! Truely exceptional.

Stunning location placed on the side of a hill so it felt like we were completely away from anyone else. Really well thought out kitchen with everything we needed and the also some consumables (olive oil, kitchen towel, etc). Super warm fireplace and also a really nice fire-based hot tub.

What a magical break away! So remote but with all the creature comforts. The fort has so many wonderful spaces to choose from to enjoy dinner or just relax-the area by the pool with stunning view;the upstairs open air lounge area with another incredible view and then there is the under cover braai room, and the inside dining room. The boules court was another entertaining addition. The hiking trails took us into beautiful terrain and was well marked all the way. Then there were all the other extra touches like loads of ice, enough wood, lovely olive oil&balsamics, fragrant showergels, the solar lights. And then there is Dragon’s Rock…this is the most romantic of it all…everything is just wow wow wow! Elsa&Robin have really created a spectacular place-we would go back as soon as we can!
