Cute interiors, very cozy and great location

Marc is a friendly, informative host with a great eye for interior design, (sorry, could be his wife!). Location and car security perfect.

We enjoyed our 2 night stay at The Vishuis. The location was perfect and we could walk to the waterfront where there are many restaurants and the clifftop pathway. We enjoyed the town and especially walking along the cliffs. The location is quiet and Marc is a hands on host meeting you upon arrival and showing you around your suite and how the gates work. It was fabulous to have secure parking this close to the ocean so we did not need to move our car. Marc was really helpful with restaurant and activity recommendations.

We absolutely loved our stay in this cosy yet surprisingly spacious room—it was beautifully decorated with a relaxed boho vibe that made it feel instantly welcoming. Everything we needed was thoughtfully provided, and the outdoor area was the perfect spot to unwind. The location couldn’t have been better—just a short walk to great restaurants and the lookout, making it both convenient and scenic. A truly lovely place to stay!

Marc met us and showed us around the apartment which was gorgeous - huge living dining area and comfy sofas - very stylish - contemporary but comfy. Short safe walk to the cliff path and into Hermanus to eat. Book if you want to eat out in Hermanus - the kitchen facilities are excellent but we wanted to eat out and our preferred places were fully booked on a Tuesday night

There is just a plunge pool - if you want to swim then a 5 minute walk gets you to the marine pool which is a tidal pool on the sea front.

Loved the spacious apartment, very neat, modern and well equipped. Centrally located and safe. In a quiet street with a plunge pool (jacuzzi) in the communal area. Wood and basics eg salt, tea, coffee provided in kitchen

The location could not be more perfect, within walking distance to the little town, restaurants and all the quirky coffee spots etc. The decor and attention to detail truly exhibits the owner's passion for this little place.

A fan in the bedroom please - and a flat sheet (the winter duvet was too thick and very hot)!

The set up of the accommodation was lovely and homely. Very comfortable and well designed. Marc was very helpful and informative.

We had no air conditioning in the property and so was a bit warm during the night.

I loved EVERYTHING about the Cottage. It is beautifully appointed with everything you need for an enjoyable stay. I was blown away by the space in the cottage - what a treat! The Vishuis is my new favourite place to stay in Hermanus.

Fantastic stay at The Vishuis. Property is really nice and comfortable. Location is ideal within Hermanus. Marc gave a great introduction when we arrived, not only telling us everything we needed to know about the property for our stay, but gave really good suggestions of things to do in the local area. Would definitely like to return in the future.
