Freindly, but unobtrusive. Very accommodating and a well run operation.

Beautiful rooms and bathroom. High quality linen and stylish decor. Friendly staff and secure parking. Good location, close to restaurants and N2.

The usual. Flexible on wanting something like egg bread. Boiled eggs.

Room was very cold. It didn't have enough 3 pin plugs. You had to unplug 3 pin plugs for fridge, kettle and heater. Instructions on saving water and electricity was small and not easy to read.

The owner is super responsive. The cappucino at breakfast is great and the breakfast was good. The TV with netflix. There is a lounge at the main house that you can use during the day and the owner also let us use the oven to heat some take away.

The bedroom was quite small, with limited amenities — no desk and only one chair for seating. No bathroom amenities except for soap and a generic shampoo. The kettle was placed on top of the mini-fridge, which also served as the only available surface to prepare tea or coffee. Additionally, the fridge and kettle shared a single plug point, requiring constant unplugging and switching between the two. The lounge area was locked at night. While you can request access in advance, we had a change of plans and brought back takeaway food, but were unable to access any cutlery or plates because the owner was unavailable. We were also disturbed by noise from the adjacent room early in the morning around 6am. It seems we shared a geyser, as there was no hot water for about an hour in the afternoon. In summary, it is more of a bed and breakfast place - i.e. to sleep, have breakfast and come back only to sleep again.

WE felt like we were at a home away from home. We loved the doggies and the people and being able to have a key to get in and out ourselves was also wonderful!

The room was quite cold, A heated blanket or portable heater would have been wonderful!

Not enough of a kitchenette for longish stay

Great stay in Somerset West. Christine and Lesley made my stay pleasant. The room was very spacious, comfortable and modern, and the property was beautiful and serene. The host also went the extra mile in ensuring I was happy throughout my stay.

I was there on quite a cold weekend and there was some maintenance that was being done on the roof on the Friday which resulted in the geyser being turned off from 9-3. The host only communicated this after I had taken a cold shower. Perhaps forewarning to avoid the discomfort. Also, the main property is the only area with a microwave. I would suggest adding microwaves to the rooms to avoid inconveniencing the host in the evenings.

Beautiful area. Quality linen on the bed. Dining area very relaxing. I arrived late in the evening bit everything was organised for me to enter the property.
