The room we booked (based on photos) was not the same as the room we received. Also the room that we received was in the lower level and seemed to be below the dining/kitchen area and therefore we had noise in relation to this-late at night and then in the morning.

Excellent location. Excellent breakfast included in room rate. Staff were very friendly and accommodating.

What a breathtakingly stunning beach lodge. I absolutely loved the breakfast, the view, the roar of the ocean waves crashing amidst the silence of the area and the friendly staff who embody customer service excellence.

We had one room in the basement, which was a bit noisy as it was located directly underneath the kitchen. For us, not a big problem though.

The Robberg staff were exceptional. They truly went out of their way to make our family feel special. My young daughters CiCi and Kate were made to feel like family, and it was so wonderful for them to experience what true service is like. Nothing was beyond a simple request, and truly, the staff go above and beyond to make you feel at home. Thank you to the kitchen staff as well for catering to all our needs.

What I did not like? Just that my stay came to an end. It's a great place to calm down and be pampered.

It was wonderful! From the check-in process, to safe and easy parking, over breakfast with a view and dolphins, afternoon cocktails by the pool, to room service for dinner, staff with ability, knowledge and competence, all wonderful! Especially their ability to address unusual requests and circumstances has to be mentioned. I have rarely been so sad to leave a hotel, and will plan to return! "Once you arrive, you are family."

The only slight downer was that the C rooms seem to carry a lot more sound transference so we did get a lot of disruption from the family next door with 2 kids and the staff arriving.

Our second stay at this location and we will be back. Stunning location and staff are amazing. We ate dinner this time - very good.

Being at the back of the hotel with no view.

Everything was great except the room allocated was very dark and dingy. We would have preferred a sea facing view but they were obviously all booked. For such a short stay, we would have much preferred to not be at the back of the hotel in a dark environment and preferred to be able to see the sea.

Very friendly and open staff, super food and very clean and well decorated and comfortable room with Minibar. A small package of Pringles for R 100 was a bit too steep. Breakfast excellent and good selection. Beachfront room can be loud due to distance to sea and if you have loud neighbours.

Our room was pokey and tucked away with no view and right on the road. It was obviously part of a bigger cottage and we could hear the noise of the other family in the cottage through the inter leading door. It was very disappointing considering the photos that were shown on the booking page. The dinner was also sub standard and over priced for what you got.

Amazing sea view and a great room which was perfect for four of us. Breakfast was very good and it was wonderful to sit and having a morning coffee with views of Robberg Beach.

The location is perfect for access to the beach. We were booked into a garden room which was comfortable and clean. However, please note that privacy is a problem if the adjoining room is occupied as the balcony is a shared one with a little wooden panel separating the two rooms. The staff were friendly and attentive and the breakfasts were excellent.

There was nothing we did not like.

The hotel’s location is opposite the entrance to Robberg 5 making easy access for beach walks and days on the beach. Our room which was a suite was large, very comfortable and had two bathrooms which was most conveniant. The hotel serves a lovely breakfast, and also serves lunch and dinner, sundowners etc which is great and means you don’t have to leave the premises if you are feeling lazy. The staff are all amazing. Attentive, efficient and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. They do a turn down service at night and refresh water and biscuits in the room daily which is complimentary. The lounge/ dining areas are tastefully decorated as are the rooms. I would recommended this hotel to both families and couples wanting a comfortable get-a-way in a beautiful location.
