Property is stunningly located on the beach front at Yzerfontein with direct access down to the beach - the view from the downstairs apartment is directly looking out to the ocean. The host, Karin and her team, wer exceptionally welcoming and communication was excellent - from a whatsapp prior to arrival with a location pin and parking, to meeting you on arrival and showing you around the apartment. The apartment is of an extremely high standard - high end appliances, stunning Mervyn Gers ceramic crockery (if you know you know!), a nespresso machine etc. There is a little nook with a comfy sofa and the tv has DSTV, netflix, electric blanket, plenty of charging ports, a wood burner fire with logs. All in all, myself and my daughter had a delightful, restful stay. Yzerfontein itself is quiet and peaceful. We went for supper at the new restaurant, The Beach House (you can book on dineplan) and it was also one of the best meals we have had out for a while.

Absolutely loved everything! The villa is beautifully built, luxurious and well kept. The pictures don’t do justice. Although it’s self catering, the host went out of her way to get our favourite luxurious coffee, cookies and olive oil - considering it’s the olive tree villa😄 She also surprised us with yummy treats for my husband’s birthday and breakfast on our last day. Thank you Karin, we’ll definitely be back soon.

Wow – what an unbelievably special place. The Olive Tree is one of the best places we have ever stayed. We both had high expectations from reading so many great reviews before arriving, however our stay still exceeded expectations. The property and gardens are simply beautiful, and the view is out of this world – you can even see Cape Town in the distance! The place has everything you need for a luxurious, relaxing and beautiful stay. Watching the sunset and even the dolphins playing in the sea whilst having our evening meal was a sight we would have never tired of! Karin and the team however are what make The Olive Tree even more special. The friendly team are always busy at work striving to make your stay as comfortable and wonderful as possible without imposing on your privacy. We have nothing but positive things to stay about our stay – highly recommend!! Thank you!
