A fanstastic guesthouse, very friendly personnel. The location is great on an idyllic island in the Knysna lagoon, with no fences. You can use the canoes, kayaks and bicycles of the house, which we did, and it was amazing. The rooms are good but the common spaces are even better, and really add to a relaxed holiday atmosphere. Our best stay during our trip in South Africa.

Nothing! It was perfection.

This property is absolutely stunning. The views across Knysna lagoon towards the Heads are just beautiful. The room was large and comfortable and every amenities was provided. The breakfast was also perfect and delicious with the best flapjacks I have ever tasted. I can’t wait to go back!

The location right in front of the beach, and the facilities to use like the bikes. Absolutely stunning breakfast thanks to Michelle and her amazing scones and muffins this was top 10! The communication was very good and the freedom of space to use the place. Very homie! Thanknyou for the complementary car wash to Daniel.

Shower curtain over the bath. Very dated and unhygienic. Unless the curtain was completely secured completely around the bath the floor would get wet.

Right from the point we checked in, until we checked out, we had a great time in Knysna and the Belle Guest House. The breakfast was fantastic, the hosts were great. Would highly recommend this place!

The staff were so welcoming. The terrace and lounge were lovely to use with great views. We used the bikes to cycle round the island. We appreciated the car being washed. The breakfasts were good with a different special every day. Reviews of restaurants helped our choice and they organised a taxi for us. The swimming opposite the house was so beautiful and safe.

The only blemish was that, as in so much accommodation, the duvet was tucked into the bottom of the bed. As a reasonably tall person, that always means I don't have enough duvet to cover all of me and the nights were cold. However, having an electric blanket mitigated this!

Superb breakfast. The proprietor did everything possible to make our stay wonderful.

Quite unbelievable really, the house, the view, the rooms, the staff! Next level perfect. We loved our stay, made use of the bicycles and wished we booked to stay longer. I really can't praise it enough, what a gem.

I stayed their for nearly two weeks , and their is nothing I can think off that I did not like.

The guest house is very well place on the Island. Staff made you feel like one of the family. Food served was of high value and quality The staff will go out of their way to help or assist you. Rooms are big and kept well cleaned. I would highly recommend The Knysna Belle Guest House for a overnight or a long stay , you will not regret it.

A gem on leisure island! We couldn’t believe the views from the house. Such chic and sweet rooms. We were thrilled we had chosen to book our stay here in Knysna and really wished we could have stayed longer (we even considered changing other plans to do so!) the staff were delightful and so helpful, bringing a boat down to the water for us when we wanted to kayak and offering to set up fishing gear for my boyfriend to use as well. Breakfast was generous and peaceful by the pool. We’ve recommend this place to friends and family travelling the garden route soon.
