    Absolutely NOTHING!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Fabulous Stay at The Big Luxury Backpackers! We recently stayed at The Big Luxury Backpackers in Cape Town, and what an unforgettable experience it was! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the beauty and spaciousness of the place. Every corner is thoughtfully designed, giving it a luxurious yet welcoming atmosphere that instantly made us feel at home. The rooms and communal areas are spotless, stylish, and incredibly comfortable — perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring the city. But what truly sets this place apart is the staff. Every single person we encountered was warm, attentive, and genuinely eager to help. They went above and beyond to make our stay special and were always on hand with fantastic recommendations. If you're looking for a beautiful, comfortable, and friendly place to stay in Cape Town, The Big Luxury Backpackers is an absolute gem. We can’t wait to come back!

Wonderful staff. I fell ill during my stay, but I felt like I was resting at home because they genuinely cared for me. Special thanks to Prim and John. The area is safe and the security is robust. I would highly recommend this place for solo travellers.

    nothing

I stayed for four nights in the mixed dorm while traveling solo. The room exceeded my expectations, with a comfy bed (much better than you’d expect in a hostel), an ensuite bathroom, and only three beds. Towels are provided for free, and the room is tidied up daily. Breakfast is also available if you don’t feel like cooking your own (which you can do). The common areas are fantastic—breakfast room, TV room, study room, garden, and swimming pool. A massive added value is the staff, who make you feel like part of a big family and take great care of you. Thumbs up for the activities and excursions you can book through the hostel as well! I also enjoyed the diverse mix of guests, with people of all ages. The area is fine, just few steps away from the sea promenade.

It would be great if you stocked an honesty bar with spirits in addition to beer and wine

The location was great, a short walk from the V&A and Green Point. The rooms were very clean and housekeeping cleaned the room everyday. I had a view of the sea from my bedroom window.

Unfortunately we didn’t have hot water and the bathroom needed a hook for towels and a mirror.

The room was simple but clean and the bed was very comfortable. The location was ideal for the Waterfront. Taxis were easy to come by. We enjoyed the breakfast.

Everything. Good WiFi, quite street, private parking/ first come.../ for 5 cars, 2 spaces at the front with CCTV. Monitoring 24/7. Very kind , helpful, and attentive staff. Interesting place with original decor. Rooms cleaned every day with towels change. 2 huge kitchens, with everything you need. Wonderful breakfast:: many kind of cereals, 4-5 kinds of fruits cut in cubes, 2 yogurts/ plain and fruit/, bread, jam, marmalade, honey, egg, but you have to make them yourself, tea, coffee, peanut butter. They sell alcohol on site. You can book tours. Staff will give you all tips x your staying in Cape Town . Highly recommend.

Location and staff were fantastic! Felt very welcomed, I arrived few hours prior the check-in time. I could leave my luggage and head to the V&A waterfront which is 10min away by walk. I stayed in the 3-bed shared room for one night and it was perfect. Great layout with two kitchens and very tasty breakfast. Definitely will stay again

Well decorated, comfortable, clean and with lovely members of staff. Met some great fellow travellers too. Always a good choice of food and drink at breakfast. On a nice quiet, safe street. 5 minute walk to Jason Bakery and then 10-15 minute walk to the V&A Waterfront.
