The only minor discomfort was that it was very cold (traveled in winter) and the rooms were chilly at night. On our last night there, we learned from fellow guests that we could requests hot water bottles for the beds and an electric heater. This was a game changer! Secondly, the rooms are not very well lit at night. This was not too big of a deal, because you are mostly just going to bed once you get back, but did make it a bit hard to get organized (e.g. get your clothing set up for the early drive), due to poor visibility.

Amazing experience! The camp itself is beautiful, and the staff are all friendly and helpful. The food is excellent. They went out of their way to accommodate my vegetarian and gluten free dietary needs. The rest of my family fully enjoyed all the 'regular' food. The tents are spacious, well appointed, and....bug free! We did not have any shortage of hot water. The min-fridge is fully stocked (and included!). The safari drives do not disappoint. We saw plenty of 4 of the big five (minus the elusive leopard), and cheetah's and just about everything else. Hot water bottles and blankets were provided for chilly AM drives. The sun setter drinks in "the bush" were unforgettable. Overall - this was a wonderful stay.

There was nothing that I didn't like.

The location was awesome. The staff went out of their way to make the stay special. The unexpected Bush Dinner was something I will always remember. I definitely want to return to Thanda!

*The tent inside is very dimly lit *The shower has to be run for a while for the hot water, that's fine, but the shower in tent 6 spits out the water directly on you, so you get hit by ice cold water, no way of dodging. The water is not confined so the floor gets drenched *No heaters in the tent, you get a hot water bottle if requested, but not effective *For a full board, those who don't consume BEEF and PORK, u are at a disadvantage. Although you fill in a client information form before arrival, no provisions are made to cater for you. Afternoon Snacks on the game drive is also beef. Breakfast is just beef and pork...

The fact that it was totally impossible to manoeuvre on a wheelchair. The staff was always ready to assist though which I appreciated.

My birthday cake, the singing, game drive. The staff is really great! I managed to take a bath and a shower in my paraplegic condition. Now that was exciting, the bathroom just had more than enough space and the outdoor shower was fantastic!

Staff, facilities and food exceeded our expectations. The resort was truly impressive. The rooms were fantastic and the communal areas excellent. The game rangers were brilliant and the amount of very close big 5 viewings was extraordinary. Seeing a cheetah mum and her cub was the highlight, but the volume of game within Thanda makes it a great place to see lots of animals very close up.

Would be good if cider was added to the drinks package like other lodges and an alcohol selection added to the minibar in rooms instead of just soft drink. The waterhole viewing platform requires some maintenance/update of furnishings.

We stayed in the tented camp and our accommodation was so comfortable. All staff were welcoming and friendly. Our guide CJ was amazing, he really went above and beyond so we could see as many animals as possible and he was very knowledgeable. Food was well presented and good, a few more options at dinner and more variety at breakfast would have been better. The housekeeping staff were fantastic, rooms tidied after every game drive.

Leaving Thanda ,was so hard to leave.

They just made out stay so memorable and they just went out of to achieve this. Super friendly and efficient and professional. You can sure tell they love their jobs.

We were here for only 29 hours but it was such a memorable experience. Our guides for the evening and morning safari, Martin and Lucky, were very knowledgeable and we had a great experience. The food at the rented camp was amazing

The shower didn't have hot water consistently both inside and outside showers. Mostly cold showers. We do not eat beef or pork and breakfast didn't cater for that. Mostly bacon and beef sausage no alternative.

Nothing - our stay was perfect and we wished we had stayed longer!

The villas were incredible. The nicest accommodation we’ve ever stayed in! The villas are huge with their own heated plunge pool, decking area for sunbathing & also a covered lounge area. Also an area for private dining. The food was incredible standard & presented in a lovely way by the chef coming to your table to say what’s on the menu, the waiting staff then come & take your order. All the staff were so attentive & friendly & helpful. And as for the safari drives - we were so impressed. We saw 4 of the “big 5” on the 3 drives we went on. We missed 2 drives as wanted to spend some time enjoying the accommodation. Our rangers Iphrain & Ronnie were so knowledgeable, friendly & just lovely to spend the time with.
