The shower was a bit problematic. Every time we've got hot water, about a minute at a time, it would stop and then it's very cold. Then we would have to close tap and restart the power at the wall (I think it's gas) so that was annoying.

The room was cosy, the electric blanket was a nice touch on the cold nights. I had asked the staff for a bottle of bubbles and rose petals from the door to our room as a surprise for my husband and they delivered. The game drive was informative as is it was exhilarating. The staff across the board were 10/10 specifically Jackie (hope I remember correctly). She went above and beyond. Definitely would recommend and return in the near future ❤️

Exceptional place to visit. The staff are key to your stay, always professionally, friendly and accommodating to your preferences. The accomodation is neat and exactly as expected with a wonderful decor throughout which includes the main dining and bar area. The food on offer is of the best standard with as promised very generous. I'd highly recommend Thali Thali and its wonderful staff!

If I have to find something then it’s only that the shower was more on the warm instead of the hot side. However this was not a problem!

We were immediately recommended the cottage instead of the tents during our stage due to the weather. We really welcomed this. We had a super stay - staff were great and kids loved Trigger the dog. The buck would come right up to the cottage door. The breakfast, dinners, game drive and archery were all super. Thanks so much!!!

I expected the cottages to be situated more remotely; however, they were dotted around the restaurant and therefore, were not very private. However, I still enjoyed my stay, nonetheless.

The game drive and food were exceptional, and the service was great. The restaurant with its viewing deck was divine to to have a drink and watch the sunset. I loved the cottage, with its old-world feel. It had everything we needed. An electric blanket and heaters were available, as well as a fireplace, which kept the cottage warm and cosy. I also loved the buck which walked the grounds at night and early morning.

My son and I had an exceptional experience! The staff and owner, Franky, Johnny, Annike, Amelia, and the other friendly staff - all made us feel SO welcome and attended to all our requests. The game drive was amazing, beautiful, and informative. The archery was AWESOME. The restaurant service and food is out of this world! Friendliest head chef and so talented. Our entire experience at Thali Thali was superb! We will definitely be back!

Very neat and tidy with everything we needed - Chalet 1 had new fast wifi, a tv with DSTV, electric blankets on the bed and a well equipped kitchenette. Even though it was cold outside, the chalet was relatively warm and we were able to purchase wood to make a lovely fire inside. Game drive was lovely - Peter very knowledgeable and it was a beautiful morning. All the staff very friendly and welcoming, food well priced and plentiful. Overall we had a lovely few days.

We saw the tent did not have flap windows anymore. Makes sense for the business but would probably take the real camp feeling away.

Yet again, another awesome stay at our kids' favourite place. We usually book the clamping tents as we just love that feeling of being in a tent and wanted to experience it in winter. We have been going annually for about 11 years. We were moved to the chalets because the storm was predicted to be quite intense. The kids saw bunk beds, and it was decided we would accept the offer from the owners. A new but lovely experience. Liefie (friendly deer) came to visit as usual, and that always makes the holiday extra special. The breakfast basket was lovely.... see you guys soon.

We chose to give Thali Thali Game Lodge a try, and it turned out to be an excellent decision. The rooms were stunning, and the staff were incredibly warm and friendly. The wildlife experience was truly unforgettable. Instead of having a braai, we opted to dine at their restaurant—and it was absolutely worth it. The food was phenomenal; I haven’t enjoyed a meal that much in a long time! The breakfast buffet was equally impressive. We will definitely be back 🥰😍

We enjoyed our short stay tremendously, staff was great and very knowledgeable. We enjoyed the game drive and my little one could walk around an play freely in a safe environment. Beautiful sunset was a big bonus.

The were just too many flies in our cottage.

Overall our stay was pleasant. We were booked for 2 nights. The food was really good. Enjoyed the breakfast on both mornings. Staff was really friendly and helpful. Made us feel really welcome.

Honestly there’s really not much I would improve, possibly I would make the lighting in the chalets a bit warmer and softer, it’s a bit intense but nothing a blanket over the lamp couldn’t fix and then there’s a bit of walking through sand from the chalets to the restaurant/ parking etc again not a major but extending the paver pathways would be convenient

Incredible attentive staff led by Frankie. The game drive was fantastic, Lirieka was a great guide and we saw so many animals. The food was great, 100% recommend the sliders, burgers and crumbed mushrooms. The chalets are super clean which is a huge deal for me. The bed was very comfortable. The restaurant also has a beautiful deck that we watched the most amazing sunset from while sipping on cocktails and watching deer.

The shower, the way the hot water regulates. I guess it's the geyser.

They have an amazing and affordable menu.. Great food. Services was great, friendly staff. They are very accommodating. I traveled with my son and he had a time of his life. Kids friendly.
