Absolute fabulous Karoo stay. Great location off the N1 but has the feeling of a farm and with everything one needs. I would recommend anyone to stay here and to order the braai pack and/or soup.

We enjoyed our overnight at Die Roepman on Steynskraal Farm, especially the tranquil location. The cottage is beautifully furnished and had everything to make ones stay comfortable. It was lovely to arrive to a fresh bread on the table. We can highly recommend a visit.

This was a wonderful stay. Quaint and old with modern facilities and everything you could need. The braai packs were awesome and the refresh bread really a treat. We loved that we could walk on the property and experience the Karoo.This really was a wonderful surprise in the middle of nowhere and one we would highly recommend to anyone. Loved our stay

Dat ons net 1 nag bespreek het!

Van die oomblik wat ons by die plaas aangekom het, was dit duidelik dat Steynskraal iets besonders het. Van die gemaklike droom bed tot die pragtige dekor en die onberispelike skoonheid en netheid van die plek – alles was regtig perfek! Nadja en Gerrit het 'n ongelooflike ruimte geskep waar 'n mens gemaklik en tuis kan voel. Dit is duidelik dat hier 'n hoë standaard gehandhaaf word en soveel moeite gedoen word om gaste se verblyf spesiaal te maak. Hierdie plek straal kwaliteit en klas uit, aandag aan detail is eerste klas. Die personeel was uiters behulpsaam en vriendelik. Dit was die ideale afsluiting van ons vakansie.

There is literally nothing we didn't like.

Best place we have ever stayed in. Stunning, stunning, stunning. Location, house, pool, view, staff, everything was amazing! Delicious braai pack and wors. Wood and firelighters were supplied. There was a loaf of fresh bread with butter and jam waiting for us. The little shop on the property is so cute and has local products. The unrefined mielie pap from the shop is the best we've ever had. Delicious wine!

Farm style living but in complete luxury. The decor is beautiful! Everything works, everything you can think of is there to make your stay 100% comfortable. Staff & owner were most welcoming. Beds were warm and cosy in the middle of winter, everything was immaculate. Stunning!!! Delicious soup and bread!

We truly enjoyed our stay at Steynskraal Gasteplaas. Great value for money, wonderful service and attention to detail from staff - such a lighting the fireplace prior to our arrival at dusk. A truly special place, geese pond and animals next door, braai wood ready to go! We are definitely visiting again.

Beautiful Karoo landscape and peaceful setting. The accommodation (Schoolhouse) was quaint and unique. Homebaked bread was exceptional!

We only stayed one night that is defintly not enough time to enjoy the area and beauty.

Everything , from the freshly baked bread on arrival, the braai packs arranged , the honesty shop on the premises. We had the most awesome sunset and later that night we saw amazing stars. What an absolute treat to have found this gem. Hosts were awesome and gave you plenty of privacy and space. This is one of the best places we ever visited and will most definitly recommend this to anyone and of course we will most definitly be returning to this gem.

From the pre arrival communication and sorting out braai packs for us, to meeting Geraldine on arrival and been shown around our spot, everything was just lovely. A true feel of a Karoo farm stay, beautiful lay out, great finishes in the cottage and peaceful surroundings. I would recommend this spot to anyone doing jhb-cpt trip and even just for a couple of nights away. Good for the soul
