Great place to stay. Wonderful location near the heads in Knysna. The room was spacious and clean with all the amenities one needs. The breakfasts are provided and very good. The best part of the stay was the hosts. They were great, kind, attentive and really were interested in making your stay special.

The beds in the room was not as comfortable as those in the cottage.

Welcoming and personal atmosphere, no problem even when we arrived late. Wonderful breakfast, very flexible and helpful staff when we needed to eat earlier to make it in time for departure. Absolutely gorgeous little cottage next to the pool, in a beautiful and calm garden.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this charming B&B! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality. The rooms were cozy, beautifully decorated, and impeccably clean, offering all the comforts of home and more. Location is great, quiet area. Big private garden with braai area and pool. Electric blanket was bonus!

It seems the alarm is activated in the evenings, which is odd because as a guest I could be coming into the property at any time of the night and I don't expect a knock at my door at midnight from the security company and owner to check if I just arrived. I appreciate the security and I think they need to secure the place without inconveniencing the guests.

We enjoyed our stay at the cottage, it was spacious and neat. The hosts were very friendly and accommodative. The location was very convenient for us and quiet, which resonated with our wishes. We would definitely book again.

We had an ingress of water, one night, due to a heavy rain storm. This caused water damage to seats, blankets and some clothes. A freak incident but concerning.

Breakfast was good. The location was ideal and was well presented. Lovely gardens and pool. The owners were very welcoming and hospitable. Also, very useful was the laundry service.

The only thing missing for us was a bath, because I have a toddler, but for the rest we loved everything about the unit, the team and the location.

The room layouts were perfect for us and the house is spacious and beautiful. I was sad we couldn't stay longer but will definitely look at booking a longer stay in advance next time.

One thing the owners could do is share a copy of the local load-shedding schedule with guests. Very minor point as no one escapes load-shedding!

We had a wonderful stay at Stannards Guest Lodge. We were a family of 3 (2 adults and 1 child). The owners were very friendly and provided good recommendations for places to visit in the area. The Cottage we stayed in was quaint, cosy and very clean.

It was a nice cottage with a deck area overlooking the pool. We sat enjoying a glass of wine everynight on the deck.... we where really surprised at how spacious and modern the cottage was.... already planning our next trip and will stay at Stannards Lodge again....very serene and good9 value for money.

The rooms and the facilities are rather old and need renovation and deep cleaning. The breakfast was lacking variety and was only available for 1,5 hours max.

Friendly and helpful hosts, fairly nicely located in the outer parts of Knysna, nice pool.
