Great location and hosts, amazing stay

Our stay at Shan C was exceptional. Ken and Belinda are fantastic hosts. Every little detail has been thought of, absolutely outstanding. We will certainly be back.

Everything. Ken and Belinda were exceptional hosts, making us feel completely at home. Their hospitality was unparalleled, and the unit was impeccably clean and offering stunning sea views. Plus, the beach was just steps away from our doorstep, providing perfect convenience and enjoyment.

A true gem! Waking up to the most fabulous view and going to sleep to the sound of the waves would be worth a 10 alone. But Belinda and Ken make a stay here feel like a dream! They are the friendliest hosts ever. The room is equipped with everything you could possibly need, from Ugandan coffee to snacks to some port to toast that view. There’s even some binoculars. Every detail is thought of. Direct access to a spectacular beach, nice restaurants nearby. Don’t stay anywhere else in Wilderness. Thank you, Belinda, Shannon, Eveline, Duke ( the dog) and Ken!

There is absolutely nothing I can think of.

I don’t know how to convey how special this property is and how foolish you would be not to book it. We booked as a simple stopover between Cape Town and Knysna but wish we had booked longer. It is perfect in every way: location; hosts; interior- just delightful and utterly serene. So many thoughtful little touches. Plus you can eat at world class restaurant serendipity! But to be specific, if you crave being on the beach with a spectacular full glass view of the ocean- this is it. This place will linger in our memories.

Nothing whatsoever to dislike.

This was our favourite stay of the garden route. The rooms are immaculately clean, serviced daily, incredible views of the ocean and beach access. All the facilities available to guests are amazing. But what really makes this place stand out are the hosts! Ken and Belinda go above and beyond. They’re so friendly that you feel like you’re staying with friends as they allow you to use their pool and BBQ area too. Ken offers lifts into and back from town to guests but you can walk if you wish it doesn’t take long. We also met their lovely daughter Shannon and family dog! They even messaged us once we had left to check we arrived at our next destination safely - they truly care about guests! We were so sad to leave and if we ever visit again we would without a doubt book to stay here again!

Location, location, location!!! Best sea view, most beautiful and comfortable rooms! A lot of extras! We really enjoyed our stay!!

We had a wonderful time @Shan C. The owners are adorable. We had great conversations, a quick braai lesson & they made sure that we enjoy our time in Wilderness. The house is very beautiful and you can feel that they put eye on details. We slept like babies in the comfy beds with ocean view. Stunning beach in front of the door while dolphins playing around. Highly recommended! We would definitely come back to this beautiful place. Thank you Ken & Belinda for everything! Jana & Dom

We had an absolute pleasant stay at Shan C: location with direct access to the beach, the amenities, the poolside, our room with all the cute details - it was simply perfect! There was nothing we could have wished for more. Ken and Belinda are the most lovely hosts we've ever met, thank you so much! I highly recommend this little paradise to friends, family, basically everybody - definitely a 12/10! We will be back.

We had an amazing stay at Shan C. The hosts Ken and Belinda are fantastic and are on hand for any questions/ recommendations (or dolphin spotting!). The room has everything you need and the view is beautiful. Would highly recommend!

Wow..... This place is wonderful - we loved every moment of 6 night stay at Shan C!!! Location-wise, it is absolutely stunning. Set on the dunes, looking out to sea....it really is the stuff of dreams. The design of the building is stylish, the interiors, gardens, and terraces, all beautiful. So much thought has gone into every little detail. The owners (& brilliant hosts), Ken, Belinda and Shannon made our stay really special - always on hand with suggestions, there to help with restaurant bookings, bringing drinks whilst we all chatted round the pool - just the loveliest, most genuine family you could wish to meet. Oooo plus they have THE MOST ADORABLE dog, Duke!!! So many little touches made our stay special - snacks, juices, waters, choccies in the room (replenished daily), binoculars for watching the dolphins from the room (yup, really!), a fully stocked honesty bar/fridge at the pool - I could go on..... We had the best nights' sleep during our stay - patio door open, listening to the waves, on our huge bed in luxury bedding.....bliss. The property is maintained to perfection, pristine throughout, yet feels totally relaxed and not "precious". You know you are in a very special place, but without any need to stand on ceremony. Location-wise it is also a dream. A 20/25 minute stroll into the heart of Wilderness (along the beach), with two great restaurants even closer by. An easy drive to Knysna and Plettenberg Bay along the Garden Route. A very special place indeed! We'll be back!

Everything! Location, views, the room, the pool, the check in, the check out 😢, and the hosts were amazing! The Dolphins and even the bio luminescence were amazing!

Ken and Belinda, the hosts, are PROPER HOSTS. Facilities are all you can ask for. Attention to detail was outta this world. Amazing views, amazing walks. Just wow.

Super-friendly Welcome, efficient process

We loved our stay at Shan C. Ken and Belinda were very warm and welcoming hosts. The property is clean, safe, quiet and well located right at the beach. The bed was incredibly comfortable! We loved the attention to detail, complimentary drinks and snacks, well-kept pool area, and nice atmosphere. We wish we could have stayed longer and will be back!

Our best stay on our previous round trip. Belinda and Ken, the hosts, are so incredibly warm and friendly people. They not only helped us and were open to everything, but we built up a friendly relationship in a very short time. We wish you all the best and look forward to seeing you again, God willing.

Shan C is an amazing place to stay. The hospitality of Ken and Belinda was excellent. The little touches that they did made our stay feel really luxurious. The decor, attention to detail and generosity all made this a wonderful guest house. The location is fantastic overlooking a long sandy Beach.

We had the most wonderful stay an Shan C. The owners are the most welcoming hosts we've ever met. From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. The rooms are perched on a beautiful dune, directly on the beach, with private access just steps away. Fully equipped and thoughtfully designed, they leave nothing to be desired. Complimentary drinks, great conversations, and a truly special atmosphere made this an unforgettable part of our vacation. We only wish we could have stayed longer – 10/10!

The owners of this property are the most hospitable people I have ever met. They were very welcoming, helpful, and nice. The property itself was absolutely incredible, super clean, and had breathtaking views. I would recommend this property to anyone. I definitely will be returning one day.
