I really appreciated the chance to stay in Room 8 while my booked room was being cleaned. I did notice a couple of things that could be improved (room 8): the shower head seemed a bit clogged, so the water was not running properly at all but rather 2/3 streams in all directions, there was an unpleasant smell from the bathroom window if opened which I’m sure could be addressed. The room temperature (room 8 & 5) was quite warm, and while I understand air conditioning can be costly, perhaps exploring alternative cooling options might be beneficial. Lastly, the pool looks fantastic, but a little more upkeep, such as keeping the creepy crawler on, could help with bug collection and light dirt at the bottom of the pool. Overall, I had a pleasant stay, and I’m sure these small improvements would make a big difference!

This isn't my first stay at Sha-Mani, and every time I travel to Johannesburg and need to be in Alberton, this is always my go-to accommodation. Eloise and the entire staff are absolutely wonderful—they truly go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. The location is in a peaceful, quiet neighborhood, and I always feel safe here. I’m always excited to return!

WiFi password was not given by reception upon arrival (probably just forgot) and not included on any literature in the room for easy access without worrying the host after hours. The interleading door between our room and inside of the lodge / conference center was perfectly locked, however the passage light left on all night shines through the door and keeps you awake if you need absolute darkness to sleep.

Location was great, room was good and clean, hosts and staff exceptional, overall great stay.

There's no heating, which is not ideal for winter night temperatures.

There is no air-cons and no curtains lace, so the room lacks some warmth because of that. It feels like you are in a garage room. I feel putting lace curtains will make a difference, especially because winter is around the corner. The WiFi is very weak, for a guest house that holds conferences it’s a no no. I had a seminar to attend online last night, and the WiFi disappointed.

Beautiful rooms, very clean with good furniture. They provided mineral water, coffee, milk and sugar sachets. There is fridge, micro wave, I warmed my food nicely.

Your Staff went out of their way to help. Well organized and friendly staff (Gentleman) We feel safe. Place is close to everything we needed.

No toiletpaper, only 1 set of towels & no fan for 2nd bedroom. Our requests for these were promptly met however we had to go back & ask for an appropriate plug for the fan. Also no fresh water in the fridge.

Safe location, plenty safe parking, clean comfy unit with 2 ensuite bedrooms. No aircon but had a fan over the main bed. Friendly helpful check-in gentleman. We were the only guests but felt very safe. Good full breakfast.

The rooms were over priced. Breakfast was an extra charge for rooms that were already over $1,000P. The location was okay but not ideal. Some of the appliances in the room were also not working well. It was a nice place but not good value for your money.

Rooms very hot 🔥 no fan or aircons, breakfast not up to standard and served late. I didn't enjoy my stay from first day the welcome was not acceptable, no friendliness.
