We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

What a loving and caring family that hosted us. I checked in 3 days before the 98th comrades marathon, I was tired and needed lots of sleep and rest before the big day. And that is exactly what I recieved and more- peace, tranquility and a fantastic, filling balcony view breakfast daily. Mr Ken offered and drove us to the Pietermaritzburg Comrades start- this was courtesy unimaginable. The stress of getting to the start was well taken care off and we arrived well in time (no rush no fuss encountered)... This place is magnificent, beautiful well maintained garden and 360 deg amazing view. It was truly a blessing to spend my time at the Serenity Place BnB. Thank you Ken, Roz, K and Bravo for your remarkable hospitality. Stay blessed and see you soon 🙌

Our room was spacious, clean and bright, the views over the Palmiet nature reserve were beautiful, and the breakfasts were delicious. Although we didn’t use it due to the weather, the pool looked very inviting. We would highly recommend Serenity Place as one of the best places to stay in the Durban area.
