Nothing - just a heater please :)

Situated on the main road opposite the hotel, this is a quaint place with several accommodation options, all placed in the garden behind the main house. The room is smallish, with a lovely veranda looking into the garden. Being a very cold time of the year I found the room a bit cold with an aircon that was not very effective and only a wall panel heater that we didn't try as they are also not great. Maybe a heater would help, but maybe they use solar power? However this did not diminish the enjoyment of our stay and I would be happy to return - just not in winter :) Note that this is not self catering so we ate at the Rude Chef restaurant next door which was a good option. The hostess Carmen was friendly and chatty.

Our only little niggle was the quality of the bathroom towels, they were very old and rather jaded and thin.

It is located in the centre of town - within easy walking distance of all the attractions. The garden is spacious and well kept and the facilities are really splendid.

The decor is a little dated but it has charm and our room was very comfortable and clean.

The veranda and garden were lovely. Excellent for bird spotting. The property is very central and close to local restaurants. Carmen gave us very good advice about the best places to eat.

The Saxe-Coburg is run by a delightful couple and their daughter who could not do more to make you feel welcome. Lovely personal touches in the room, great company with the other guests. It's located very conveniently in the middle of Prince Albert, very close to one of the best restaurants in town and right opposite the historic hotel. Very quiet accommodation in a group of bungalows around a swimming pool. I enjoyed it there so much that I stayed for a second night.

Parking is a little cramped. The option of breakfast would have been nice, but there are plenty of cafes within a short walk.

Great location with easy access to everything in Prince Albert. Tastefully furnished and spotlessly clean room in a very pleasant garden setting.

We had a lovely stay and would not find fault with anything. We would gladly return.

The location was excellent, right in the centre of town within easy walking distance to various restaurants, bars and coffee shops. Also close to an excellent museum and a beautiful art gallery. The gardens were lovely and the swimming pool offered a welcome respite from the heat. The hosts were very pleasant, helpful and friendly but not intrusive. We could definitely have spent more time there and came across other guests who had returned many times over the years.

Everything, from the moment I arrived. The peace and quietness in there beautiful Karoo Garden. The nice rustic pool to cool down in the Hot Summer Days. The location is perfect, in the middle of Prince Albert and close to all the Restaurants and Coffee Shops. All the people at Saxe-Coburg Lodge made my visit very special.

The property is conveniently situated wrt nearby restaurants and other shops which were within walking distance. The accommodation was extremely comfortable and clean. The swimming pool made for a refreshing swim after a long hot day. There was secure parking for my motorcycle.
