Our stay was fantastic. The only improvement we could suggest is a toaster in the kitchenette.

The pool furniture could be renewed to a more comfortable sitting area, most likely this will be taken care of by the new host.

Besides of being a gorgeous place, the real difference is that this guest farm is managed directly by the owners, therefore each detail is carefully arranged, and it felt really like home, we were provided with crib and high chair for our baby with no extra cost, we will book it again in future trips to stellenbosch for sure!

Staying at Sanddrif was very enjoyable. The atmosphere is very relaxed and everyone is so friendly. The farm itself is in a good location close to Stellenbosch and wineries around. We felt very safe on the accomodation as well. Thank you Candice and Richard creating this beautifull farm. We had a great time!

The unit is self-catering but unfortunately there is only a (somewhat loud) fridge, a microwave and minimal utensils (plates, cups, cutlery), no stove to make some eggs for breakfast or whip up something for dinner - you need to be inventive if you want to be truly self-catering or choose one of two other bigger units on the property with proper kitchenettes. You can order a rather expensive bread and spreads breakfast for roughly 15 USD pP which is convenient but more expensive than usual in South Africa. My wife needs a gluten-free option however, so the breakfast wouldn't work and we had to make-do with kettle and microwave. Just be aware that if you like a hot, fresh dinner, or a fancy breakfast with eggs, your only option is to take the car and drive somewhere with the hot-tub unit.

Awesome, off-the-beaten-track, quiet location about 8 km outside of Stellenbosch. The hot-tub was a great addition, lovely outside area with lounge space and table to eat in front of the unit. Unit itself very tastefully decorated, large bathroom, spacious room, lovely gardens that you can walk around. Most friendly and accommodating hosts. There were two young owls that could be viewed up close every day while we were there.

Some window (close to the ceiling) could not be darkened with roller blinds. Daylight shines through them very early in the morning.

Nothing I didn’t like. However it would have been nice to know there was a tennis court available. I missed enjoying this since I didn’t pack for it.

Loved the privacy. Each room had its own private outdoor area which I loved. Also like that the garden had some child friendly activities like a trampoline and jungle gym

The location of Sanddrif is perfect 5min drive from Stellenbosch if you have to and surrounded with excellent Wine farms for tasting of wines with excellent restaurants. This place is a place where u can re-energise, recuperate, relaxed, recharged. Safe to go for walks or jogging. Lot of bird life with a lake. Its quiet, safe and feels like home.

We had an exceptional stay as a family. The room (Cottage Suite) was amazing: clean, well equipped and the terrace views just stunning. The whole complex is very family-friendly. Several lawns, shadow places, a nice pool area and a kids playground (trampoline, swing) made it awesome for our toddler, too. We will be back for sure!

Amazing stay- thank you Beautiful property,away from main road.. Newly restored room, was beautiful, comfortable and everything you needed for a stay. Ben was a welcoming host and everything is communicated by him or in notes in the room. Will definitely be back next time in Stellies
