The cottage was well equipped and stocked with cleaning materials, wood, emergency kit etc. It was a comfortable stay with the extra's that made it special like an electric blanket on the beds. The host was friendly and checked in regularly. No hassle with the keys as there were a safety box.

We had a fantastic stay! The host was incredibly kind, welcoming us personally at 22:00 and showing us everything we needed. The house was amazing, it had the comfort and warmth of a home, but was as organized and well-prepared as a hotel. We slept wonderfully, helped by the little touches like the homemade bath salts. The garden and braai area were beautiful, and mornings on the patio, with the birds singing, were a real highlight. We truly loved the area and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful and memorable stay.

The Rosehaven Cottage is an absolute gem. With its charming wooden plank floors and stylish, thoughtfully curated decor, the cottage offers both comfort and character. It's fully furnished and equipped with everything you might need for a relaxing stay. The outdoor area is equally delightful, featuring a cozy stoep, a built-in braai, a refreshing splash pool, and a beautifully maintained garden that's often visited by hummingbirds—a real treat! Our host, Braam, was exceptionally warm and welcoming. He communicated clearly and was always willing to assist, making our stay completely hassle-free. Everything. Rosehaven Cottage is a quaint, well appointed and maintained house in a lovely English Country Garden. Much attention to detail is evident and a host of extras aimed at enhancing guest comfort are provided. Braam is a friendly, welcoming host.

A thoroughly delightful trip to this extremely well equipped and well located property. The upgrading of the property by the host has been very sensitively done to introduce modern facilities into this traditional building. Braam the host was very proactive, responsive and helpful throughout our stay and it is a place we will return to. I would most certainly recommend this property to anyone wishing to stay in the delightful town of Swellendam.

What was not to like, well, absolutely nothing! What an amazing week at Rosehaven Cottage. Braam was the best host. So attentive and the attention to detail in this beautiful cottage is just amazing. Thank you so much for allowing us to be able to share this awesome place with you. For me, one of the best features of this fantastic holiday was the garden! I could sit for hours and just watch the birds and the most beautiful sunsets. The walks in the morning was so relaxing. I will be back! Thank you Braam, you are the BEST😎❤️

Nothing really. The pool was a small plunge pool, so on very hot Swellendam days it’s suitable for just a couple at a time.

Super friendly hosts and very nice, clean, safe, comfortable accommodation.

The cottage is beautiful, with a lovely front porch, from where you can enjoy the wonderful bird life in the gorgeous garden. The garden is fully pet-proofed, so furry family members are also free and safe to explore the garden. Braam is the kindest, most generous, thoughtful and helpful host! i love the fact that the host waited on us to arrive and explained all the rules of the house to us, the host is really an awesome guy this is now my new favorite place the pool was the highlight of the event in the heat we could atleast swim in a nice clean blue pool.

The signage for the house could be improved

Braam is an excellent host, he uses an airfreshner that he makes himself and the house smells really nice. Quality appliances throughout the kitchen, gorgeous furniture, beautiful garden. It's a house full of love, with freshly picked flowers, beautiful art pieces. It's a pity we were there only for one night. It's a place I could stay in for at least a week. Even a pool for those hot days. Highly recommended

I recommend a small corner lamp for in the living room as the two main lights are quite bright when watching TV in the evening.

Absolutely EVERYTHING. Braam has thought of everything for one's comfort, arriving to a warm and hospitable welcome, this pet friendly little treasure of a cottage was a Gem of a find. .

The lounge chairs were beautifully designed and comfortable, but just a little bit low to the ground. Having one or two extra chairs that might be easier for one to get up out of would be an asset. I had my elderly parents with me, so it was a little bit hard at times for them to sit down and get up.

A lot of heart and soul has gone into turning this cottage into a comfortable and homely place away from home. It is evident that a lot of thought went into the decor and amenities. There was even a mixture of sugar and water for the birds that visit the garden, which we completely forgot to put out in the bird feeder. It honestly felt like we were visiting the house of a good friend or relative who was out of town and knew we were coming:)
