Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Absolutely outstanding visit! We couldn’t have asked for more. Every little attention to detail. Complementary wine & a birthday cake, singing to our son for his birthday. Taking care of our daughter’s spine when driving on dirt roads, Storm was an amazing guide. The food was incredible, not a single detail left to chance with little unexpected drinks, biscuits, rusks etc. Gorgeous lodge & comfortable beds. We won’t forget it and big thanks to everyone for the perfect stay.

United StatesWe wanted to see the big five but after 3 days of 6 game drives, each 3 hours long, we never got to see the elephants and only one sighting of lion. The game drives were quiet in regard to sightings but that can just be the luck of the drawer when doing safari drives. Our ranger tried his very best and we appreciated all his efforts! They should build a larger lapa area where they can put a pool table and have board games for teens during the hours between game drives.
The food was fantastic. The staff went above and beyond. The location was peaceful and beautiful. Lots of buck and warthogs roaming on the property which was a wonderful surprise. We loved our ranger Steve and was grateful we got him for the duration of our stay.

United KingdomNothing. Just a small warning - to get to the lodge you have to drive 5km down a dirt road. Our very small hire car wasn't ideal but we managed. In wet conditions it may be difficult.
Fantastic lodge. Game drives were very good - thank you Storm! Food was delicious. Chalet was good. Loved watching the tame animals around the lodge. Well organised.

This bush escape was just what my wife and i needed. A disconnect from our busy lives. Peaceful, quiet and serene. Very friendly staff, amazing food and we had a an awesome guide, Stuart. The Manyoni park itself was teaming with healthy wildlife and it is very well maintained with limited vehicles.
