Pure Sea was tranquil, heaven on earth…….definitely worth the visit, private beach, amazing bath tub and picnic sunset moments!!!

The pizza for dinner was not good. Also, we were missing a room key card when leaving and they were so picky about it saying they would charge us. You don’t expect this behavior in a $400/night place.

The place is gorgeous, you can see the sunrise from the bed if you leave the curtain open. We also booked and hot tub (extra money) and watched the sunset from there. It was magical with the zebras and springboks on the property.

Not one single thing!

Every single thing! The attention to detail, the design, the hospitality, the views, the amenities, literally everything was exceptional. To top it off there were zebras in the estate too! But in all honesty, it was the nicest hotel / lodge I have ever stayed at. Pichy and Bjorn have honestly thought of it all and it honestly goes to show. The food, the experiences and their communication was 11/10. I would recommend Pure Sea Boutique Lodge to all. I really do hope that I will be back !

Amazing Location in Gansbaai! The greeting by arriving, the details and comfort in the Suites, the outstanding Location over the sea, the extraordinary breakfast and most of all, the kindness and professionality of the staff ! Always ready to help, give advices, book restaurants, etc …etc… We highly recommend this Boutique Hotel for a stay in Western Cape.

The view- wow. The hotel is set in the most gorgeous spot. The whole lodge was designed so beautifully with even the smallest detail having been carefully thought through. The owners have a very special eye. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Couldn’t recommend the hotel more. We wish we could stay longer!

If I had to pick on something, it would be a more extensive wine list. More boutique wines in-line with the brand and experience. (Rather than mass produced)

Nothing, it is perfect.

This property is very special and unique. This is the place away from the hustle at home where one recharge, relax and find the beauty we have in South Africa. I did not want to leave this Pure Sea Lodge set in fynbos on the beach. We have received a warm welcome from owners Björn and Pichy and staff. Actually they have helped me organised a wonderful anniversary weekend before we have arrived. The rooms are comfortable and attention to interior is immaculate. The food was great, even the cappuccinos made by Nico. We have enjoyed tapas, the hot tub and strolls on the beach.

That we only stayed 2 nights!

Pure Sea is one of, if not the most, special places we have ever stayed. The hospitality provided is second to none, whilst not being intrusive. The property itself is designed immaculately with such great attention to detail. We had a beach picnic and tapas in the hot tub and both experiences were fantastic, set up to the highest standard and the food prepared was presented beautifully (and tasted amazing!).The zebras roaming the property is a real highlight! The owners have clearly put so much effort into creating the property and really strive to give the guests a unique and luxury experience, which they have achieved! Worth every penny…and more! Will recommend anyone visiting SA to visit here on their trip.

A little privacy in front of each room would be great. Guests were walking past our room to access the pool area even though there were not supposed to walk that way. A hot tub/plunge pool for each room would be amazing.

Stunning location and views. Absolutely peaceful place to unwind and relax. Hosts and staff are great and really make you feel welcome. Beautiful and modern rooms with really special touches. Love the eco friendly everything. Breakfast is really good. I would definitely stay here again.
