Everything was perfect.

We had the most wonderful stay at Poseidon Guest House. Danie and Jannie are wonderful hosts. Our room was excellent and the view was incredible. Breakfast was yummy, made with care and attention to detail, served with really good company. Will definitely return when back in the Cape. Highly recommend.

This place is fantastic! The rooms were very comfortable and well appointed, stylishly decorated, the breakfasts were delicious and plentiful and it is run by two of the nicest people you could ever hope to meet. I hope my travels take me back to the area soon so that I can stay at this absolute gem of a B&B again.

The view over the bay is exceptional and the interior design of the house is very tasteful and soulful. Janni and Dani were excellent hosts, cooks and guides. Don't hesitate to ask for travel tips. Last but not least there were the best dogs, if you wish to interact with them, Rufus and Winnie who are both adorable and would make you want to stay around with them.

We spent almost three weeks at Poseidon Guest House back in February and it was great. Danie and Janie are lovely hosts and made sure we were well taken care of during the entire stay. They provided recommendations, assisted with travel arrangements, fed us incredible breakfast every morning, joined us for the occasional glass of wine on their beautiful terrace and much more. The guest house is located in Hangberg, with a stunning view over Hout Bay. A car is recommended to reach the town center and beach. Free parking is available. From Hout Bay, it's also just a short car ride to Camps Bay/Cape Town, Constantia winelands and Noordhoek via the famous Chapman's Peak Drive. The rooms are very charming and comfortable, all with balconies/terraces and a nice view of the garden/pool and/or Hout Bay. There's a mini fridge available to store drinks and snacks. Common areas of the house, both indoor and outdoor, are beautifully decorated and very stylish, inviting guests to hang out and relax. All in all: a great place to both chill and explore the area. Thank you Danie and Janie, we will be back!

Parking is secure but owing to location, is steep and requires good driving skills.

You have to pass through the informal settelment to get to the House. So walking around from the House is a no no. You would need to drive out of the area park and then walk around. We felt safe... and the Hosts assured us its safe.

The View was Amazing. I felt Safe.. the Breakfast was Amazing. I could not complain about anything... Danie and Janie was so accomodating and were amazing Hosts.

Awesome view. Rooms cleaned daily. Sumptuous and wonderfully presented free breakfast personally served by our hosts. Very kind and helpful hosts even going out of their way to take us, in their car, to the bus stop, to a nearby restaurant, even servicing one of us to the pharmacy and back.

Danni and Yanni have worked so hard to give their guests a special experience. The lads were the perfect hosts, and the house is gorgeous, beautiful view across the bay, and the dogs Rufus and Winnie will keep you entertained. Breakfast was like tea at the Ritz and nothing was too much trouble for our hosts. Loved it 😆
