How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Pluvio is within walking distance from all the little shops. We always feel safe and secure at Pluvio. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

It really needed a fridge, but we made due.
It was beautiful and clean, and the aircon helped. It is also in the ideal location .

The bed was not comfortable for couples, bcz they said is king bed, but it was two single bed combined, so for couples is not doing any good, it keeps on separating when you are busy

Absolutely loved the exterior and interior, very gorgeous decor and lots of consistency with cleanliness and always came back to clean bedding and eats when returning to our rooms. Friendly staff and very helpful and accommodating to us, highly recommend and very affordable, will definitely stay over again the next time we come through town!.

It was n bit cold in the room even though we had the aircon going.. We could maybe start the fireplace but no wood or fire starters
People were friendly water was nice and hot. Everything was well kept and neat.

Excellent location. Greeted by a very friendly staff member (again on checkout). Room was very spacious. We were accommodated with extra coffee in our room for which we are very grateful.

The house interior could do with a little TLC, some flowers and some decor items could make a huge difference to the look and feel of the house.
The house was big, and we had it all to ourselves. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, even made arrangements to wait for us as we were late. There was ample parking space and a beautifully manicured garden, perfect for photos.

Noise from the room above our room. Every time the people walked in their room; we could hear the noise (Not sure if they had a wooden floor).
Very spacious room. Close to the restaurants, etc.

No water in Parys? = no shower = no coffee, ex. Munnette got water from the borehole. = she is absolutely amazing! No staff in the night

The bed was slanted on the one side, which was a bit uncomfortable. We were unaware of water shedding. However, we did receive a water shedding schedule after the fact.
What a lovely place. The room was beautifully set up, spacious, and clean. The facility and grounds were well looked after with safe parking. Wonderful experience with the staff. We were able to comfortably walk from the accommodation to town. Our issues raised were handled swiftly, graciously and taken seriously.

Good Day Your Guesthouse is beautiful but as my husband is in a wheelchair the bed is very high and I struggled to get him on the bed. The toilet is also very low. If you advertised as a wheelchair friendly establishment these are two things you need to consider. Wheelchairs generally are a standard height. If the beds are two high it is a big problem to get the disabled person on the bed. If the toilet is to low it is a big problem to get the disabled person back onto to wheelchair. Something to keep in mind if you consider yourself a wheelchair friendly guesthouse. There are organisations that can come assess your disability friendliness.
Staff was very friendly and place was beautiful and well equipped. Grounds are lovely and well maintained.
