This accommodation was seriously one of the best places we have stayed. Super friendly hosts, amazing views over Knysna and a really cool apartment. A definite “must stay” in Knysna!!

The studio and the view were really beautiful. We enjoyed our stay in Knysna a lot. The Wi-Fi connection didn’t work in our studio at first, but it was fixed after two days. Please note that the sauna can only be used at specific times and upon request – and it comes with significant extra charges. This wasn’t clearly mentioned on Booking.com. Still, we really liked this special place and would definitely recommend it and stay here again.

The views were amazing overlooking Knysna. Couldn’t have asked to better hosts, always on hand to help and offer recommendations. The accommodation was superb, had everything you needed and the perfect place to switch off and relax, would definitely recommend.

Very welcoming hosts. The place is a little out of town but walkable. It has plenty of character- Fridge and kitchen area. Good wi-fi signal- no power cuts whilst I was there.

We booked the lodge at the back (= no view of the lagoon), although even two alternatives for the view were offered, but as we spend a lot of time discovering Knysna this was really not felt as a handicap. The lodge was well designed and all comfort was present. If in the future we go back to Knysna, we will consider the same accomodation. We are grateful to the owners for their welcome an having us lodged in such a wonderful environment.

Can't make enough smiley faces! This place was so beautiful and tranquil. Beautiful view from our bed of the waterfront. Was just too cold to use the pool but I'm sure having a dip on a hot day would have been amazing! Gorgeous setup and the bath tub was so soothing! The owners were so helpful and they thought of every single little detail to make this place zen! Got amazing tips on restaurants to eat from. Thanks again!

Everything was perfect

The hosts, Ellie and Francois, are a lovely, friendly couple who shared many recommendations of things to do in the area and were very helpful and accommodating throughout my stay. The entire property was peaceful, tranquil and zen-like - it felt like being in Bali (without the humidity)! The birdlife was incredible, and the sound of birdsong was lovely to wake up to each morning. My studio was cosy and very private - I had a loft space to meditate in, and my own private patio area which had a dining table and sofa to relax outside and enjoy the beautiful gardens and birdlife. My kitchen looked out onto the poolside and the meditation space in the loft looked out onto the Knysna lagoon. I also had a private walkway to a lookout point on the property where you could sit and enjoy the views of the lagoon on the hilltops of Paradise, Knysna. It was a short 20minute walk from local shops, restaurants and the Zen Studio (yoga, pilates). The walk back is steep, but you can use Uber if you like. I cannot rave about this place enough - it was genuinely a slice of heaven on earth and I loved every minute of staying there and didn't want to leave! A perfect place for solo travellers looking for peace and tranquillity, or for a romantic couples getaway.

We just loved it - Ellie and Francois are really lovely and helpful - everything is made with passion. . The whole unit is really well thought, nothing missing - you can tell, they know from their own experience what is needed / convenient. Our little garden room was perfect. We loved the big patio to sit outside and the apartment had everything you could need including coffee and some milk. The whole complex is beautiful, you can see the love the owners put into it. Also we got some great recommendations for dinner and what to do around Knysna. Nothing negative to stay, we were so happy with our 4 nights stay. Would come back any time and recommend to everyone!

Beautiful place. The host shared with us plenty of links adapted to what we had in mind and time we were there. They really thought about all tiny details to make the stay perfect (candles & external light as the town is sometimes out of electricity for couple hours, fridge, coffee and granola, salt and pepper, book with all activities around, parking onsite). We are people that are looking at those details and you did incredibly ! All the best of luck with the place :)

Fabulous place, AMAZING views, beautifully designed, very clean, great facilities and little extras like the use of the sauna made it extra special. Can’t rate this property highly enough. One of my favourite places we’ve stayed in and excellent value for money.
