Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Everything was perfect
Clean, full kitchen with microwave, so I could buy frozen meals to heat at night. Iron and ironing board in room. Everything you need while away from home. Cannot beat this price in Rustenburg...what you get for what you pay, this place is a steal. Staff professional and friendly.

Access to hot water was limited. I had to shower in luke warm water twice during the three day stay.

The only issue the basin doesn't close the water jst goes out

The wifi speed AND reach is not good. It is really slow and the room we stayed in the wifi was not usable at all.
There was a space in the restaurant to sit and work.

The bed was just a bit squeaky, the AC had a bit of an issue and the lights outside were not working. But the entire facility was great, quiet and beautiful.

Nothing. I was happy with everything. I will definitely book it again when I’m coming to Rustenburg.
Their kitchen in your own room had everything you think you may need. It’s really a home away from home. A collection of beautiful unique artworks❤️❤️. The place is secured, in a quiet area and is very peaceful. Definitely loved everything about it and their staff. So convenient.

Nothing really. Me and my friends loved everything about the place.
The property was very clean. They came to clean our room every single day. The host was very responsive and made sure we had everything that we needed. Even though our property was at a different location they made sure they take us to the accomodation, which was very nice. We had a problem with the gate and it was fixed as soon as we reported it . Overall our stay there was amazing, l would highly recommend this place to anyone. The location was also very nice and convenient. It’s at a quiet place and it’s very nice

Breakfast needs to be booked first. And expensive per person. Very far from the sun city resort.

The stairs were steep when carrying luggage
The place was clean. Tendai was friendly with helpful advice. There was more kitchenware and cutlery than I anticipated. The kitchen sink was also a nice touch.

Everything was perfect 👌
The place is clean spacious, my kids really enjoyed the stay can't wait to come back, they named it ONSDORPAS. With free wifi pool area braai perfect no mosquitos at night.

Nil. In the lodging I was in there were a few noisy neighbours and slight blocked drain smell . But otherwise nothing to complain about
Welcome at reception was great . Friendly and efficient. Good location. Clean and comfy . Glad I read that there are properties not attached to the main reception area as this was a bit of an inconvenience but not much .

The check-in took longer than expected due to funds paid to booking.com not reflecting from the properties side.
The staff was really friendly and very helpful. We arrived later than expected, just past midnight. The beds were very comfortable, slept like a baby. Hubby and son enjoyed the swimming pool, went for a splash in the morning.
