Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesEverything was amazing! All of the staff are so nice and accommodating, and the safaris are spectacular. You do two game drives a day, one in the morning and one in the evening, and we were so lucky. We saw amazing things on every game drive and even had one day were we saw the whole big five (and more!). The facilities are also lovely with a great viewing deck looking out at the river where we saw elephants, water buffalo, giraffes, baboons, zebras, monkeys, impalas, and more. This place is fabulous and I would recommend it to everyone. They also take conservation really seriously and do their best to not bother the animals.

South AfricaThe view from the public areas is fantastic and the staff are so friendly and helpful. I loved having different places to eat the meals. And the food is superb! Our guide was knowledgeable and committed. In all, a wonderful stay. A gym would be ideal, just to be able to burn away some of the delicious calories we consumed! And note that the garden rooms don't have baths and no view, the photos on the site are mostly of the new suites overlooking the river.

A hotel in the middle of the wilderness. At least once in a lifetime I recommend to switch off and go on a quality safari, to experience the peace and sounds of nature. This hotel is perfect! The service is top notch and everyone is nice. Our guide Elvys was great and we saw all the animals in 5 days. Thank you so much for a great experience, I believe I will be back.

Beautiful place in an amazing location overlooking a big part of the reserve, I could see more than 30 elephants from the swimming pool. Game drives were great, luxurious rooms and personal service.

AustraliaWe loved the small boutique approach to everything. There weren’t loads of other people staying so we felt looked after in every way. The river room was just superb. Huge. And overlooking the river bed below. The staff were amazing. Our personalised guide, Matt, was such a great guy, and guide, who was passionate about everything to do with sharing the best safari experience possible. Thoroughly recommend.

IndiaThe bar can be stocked up a bit more..and a standard menu for food might help (over and above the customisations)
All credit to the staff including the Ranger/Guide (Wess) for going out of their way to create a memorable experience. The lodge is serene, extremely well kept and loaded with warm smiles and care. The rooms are spacious..the food and bar arrangements are spot on. Too many things to rave about Klaserie but, then it will need a dedicated blog

United StatesThe views from the property were beautiful, the food excellent, and our room absolutely dreamy. Our guide Matt was knowledgeable, funny, and did a great job including us in the search for various animals. The rest of the staff were incredibly warm, welcoming and thoughtful. We came for our honeymoon so some of the special touches like a private dinner were much appreciated.

IsraelIt was a bit hard to find our way to the camp. It's about 20-30 min drive from the reserve gate to the camp, provided you know the way. There are a few turns that you need to take. At the junctions there are wayfinding signs, but most of them don't have the Klaseri Drift on them, instead they have their old name, Misava. Because of that, it took us longer than anticipated to reach the camp and we missed lunch and 1 game drive. The staff were kind to us and suggested to give us a ride to join the game drive, but we were tired from the drive and accepted an offer for a late lunch instead, which was most appreciated.
We recently had the pleasure of staying at Klaseri Drift for two nights and my experience was exceptionally good. The camp is situated in a beautiful natural setting that is surrounded by animals, making it a truly immersive and memorable experience. The number of rooms in the camp is small, which provides a private and peaceful atmosphere that is perfect for relaxing. Additionally, the camp features a viewpoint with a pool, which offers a fantastic opportunity to see animals while enjoying a refreshing swim. During our stay, between the game drives, we observed a group of giraffes hanging about in the area, which was an amazing experience. The service at Klaseri Drift was simply the best we have ever experienced. The staff were extremely attentive to our every need and went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. I would like to give a special mention to Brenda, who was particularly helpful in assisting us with our stay and also helped us to plan our next days of adventure in the KNP. The game drives were an absolute highlight of our trip. We were fortunate enough to see a variety of animals, including a leopard, lions, giraffes, and elephants, among others. Our guide, Kuotso, was incredibly knowledgeable and also a lot of fun, making the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, I would highly recommend Klaseri Drift to anyone looking for an exceptional safari experience. The combination of a beautiful natural setting, excellent service, and unforgettable game drives make it a must-visit destination for any wildlife enthusiast.

FranceGame drives: Kutsho our guide was exceptional. Always in a good mood, always having some interesting facts to tell us about the nature surrounding us and he went to great lengths to make it possible for us to see the animals. He also provided us with rain ponchos on the colder and rainy drives we had. The coffee breaks and sun downer drinks in the bush are unforgettable. Food: The food we were served was exceptional. Staff: Our butler David always ensured that we had what we needed and wished for and was very attentive. Overall the staff was very warm and welcoming. Location: The lodgel is on a little hill looking over the Misava River where we could spot several times elephants, girafes and antilopes. Room/Cleanliness: Our room was very clean with working AC for the hot days.

South AfricaWhat I let my experience down the most was safari vehicle without sun roof and the guide, who would stop under the blazing sun for 5 minutes without any wildlife around to have a chat about nature. No doubt his word were interesting but not worth standing in day heat directly under the sun. Another disappointment was the food. I would like to worn vegetarian guest that they likely to be given cheap vegetarian substitute for meat to eat. As well as cheap bread that’s usually served at wimpy or spur. Also snack that’s included to the price are very limited and poor choice.
We had very special trip and we were looking forward to have wonderful time at Klasserie. I had followed the lodge on social media and had an impression that it will be a good choice among similar lodges. However when I left the lodge after 2 days I had feeling that my experience was rather mediocre then pleasant. The facilities were good. spacious rooms, dining deck with views over open bush field and wildlife around were positive moments of our stay.
