Bedside lamps didn’t have globes in. Didn’t know how to reach someone when we needed help - realized early morning that the plugs stopped working. Guests coming in after 22:00 were very loud

We had a kitchen issue. We had to pay R100 in order to use the kitchen and we booked for 9 days,the moment you use the kitchen you had to pay which was my first time experiencing this. Most guesthouse offer kitchen for free.

Didn't realise it was shared accommodation. Towels were old and stained. There was a stain on the mattress that showed through the sheet and looked like what could only be blood. Most of the coffee cups were all chipped. No coffee supplied.

I didn’t, throughout my entire stay, have access to WI-FI when in my room.

It was build on a rock, as it’s called Mzansi Rock. The aesthetic was charming.

The tv was just too small - like almost ruler sized width. If the room had a bigger tv it would be perfect.

I liked how friendly and helpful Tazzy (not sure if the spelling is correct) was, he made sure we were comfortable. I liked that the room was spacious and clean. The ensuite was clean as well and the shower was decently sized with hot water. There was multiple two-pin plugs available in the room.

The place is not being properly managed and maintained. As you arrive you are greeted by a driveway full of weeds and a garden that's lacking maintenance. There is nobody manning the reception to welcome the guests or to attend to them when they need something. I was welcomed by a cleaner who showed me to my room and told me that she was asked to take the image of my ID and send it to the owner. The room that l stayed in was not clean at all. I was greeted by a stink, which l later realized was coming from the mats that were very dirty and the cousions on the swinging chair and the other chair in front of the dressing mirror. The ceiling fan has accumulated a lot of dust and had a broken switch, which l fixed myself. Lots of dust on the window seal as well. Broken plugs that were not working. Very small TV that had a faulty screen, you can hardly see anything because of how tiny it is. No backup power during loadshedding, they only have very little power that works for the lights in the room, that's it. Not even the intercom works during loadshedding, l arrived during that period and was stuck at the gate, fearing to get mugged. I had to make some phone calls to eventually get someone to open for me.
