Spacious, clean, friendly owner. Beautifully views and very well positioned. Couldn't have asked for more with this accomodation.

The cottage was lovely with beautiful views of the garden and a short walk to the swimming pool and separate entertainment area with a big kitchen. The smell of jasmine was lovely while we were sitting on the stoop watching the birds.

The bed was a bit hard and difficult to get used to on the first night, but otherwise good. The photos of the cottage don't show that the main bedroom is down a few stairs.

I stopped over at Mountain View Swellendam for one night while traveling back to Cape Town from Port Elizabeth. I made a late booking, and they were very accommodating. The room was spotless, and I appreciated that the heater had already been switched on before my arrival, it made the space feel warm and welcoming after a long drive. I really enjoyed my short stay and will definitely return when I’m in Swellendam again. Highly recommended for anyone needing a comfortable and friendly stopover.

The pool house/braai area is great for guests staying in the smaller units. The hosts are very friendly, accommodating and very efficient. Birdlife in the garden is phenomenal.

The greeting we got on arrival, Nicolene showed us everything in the unit and switched the heater on to warm the room. She was helpful with places to eat.

Hot tub was great! And the surprise wash of our car morning of our departure :-) Amenities were very good too.

Matress/hard

Everything about this place is excellent. The host has thought of everything. Fresh coffee and a coffee press, teas, milk, cookies, chocolates on your pillow, quality shower gel, shampoo, cotton buds , note book, pens, a book of recommended places to visit and restaurant suggestions. The apartment was immaculately clean with fresh quality linen. Hot shower, comfy beds . The view from your own outside eating area is directly across to the mountains. It is in a quiet residential area. The owner deserves an award for this excellence.

We had a problem closing the automatic security gate when checking out after putting the key in the lock box. The gate kept reopening and we didn't want to leave the security gate open. Fortunately the owner just arrived home to help us.

Very accommodating hosts. We stayed there for a race and had to leave the car for a bit longer, beyond the check out time. The team made a plan so we could leave the car safely on site and get a shower after the race in the pool house. Going above and beyond to make it work for our tricky time plan - we value this a lot. Thanks a ton! Besides that, the Guesthouse is very charming, comfortable beds and well equipped room on a neatly curated property with great amenities right in the heart of Swellendam. We sure will be back!

This place was spotless! Spacious with a lovely outside deck, perfect for a stopover one night stay. The towels and bedding were good and the decor was cute all round. Lovely touches like chocolates on the pillow and a jar of sweets on the desk to enjoy while I worked.

It was very cold even though I did run the overhead heater. The smaller heater was not working but I'm sure the host has tended to that by now. There were extra blankets and throws which was good.

The views were stunnung , facilities neat and clean ,bed was so comfy , the host (Vee) was friendly and always available. She was so considerate when we arrived she had put the heater on for us to warm the room. Polite the house keeping lady was very friendly . Thank you so much for making our stay enjoyable.
