We had a very comfortable stay at the Mountain View Country Inn. Clean comfortable rooms. Breakfast and dinner was very good. The perfect stopover on our way home and to do some exploring of the area.

Watering Service not good as only one person. Had to keep looking for her. Not her fault. I advised I would ride at 05h30 but battled to get out of the hotel. Boerewors at breakfast not cooked/ raw on spots.

The staff member running Reception and Kitchen was very pleasant and accommodating. She should advise on overall process, and know a bit about the area.

food was sub standard, lodge is old, the staff was all over the place, reception was not manned, no water in the room for about an hour. I general not a good experience.

Fan in the room needs to be repaired as the room gets very hot. Stairs from the bedroom to the bathroom, if you don’t have good balance choose a different room.

Good WiFi, good home cooked dinner, good breakfast, comfortable bed in the red room. Working fridge, coffee and tea supplied in the room. Back up lighting supplied for power failures.

Service was slow (to match the calmness of the town.) Some info was not communicated clearly initially, e.g.: where our room was and what the WiFi password was.

Amazing views! Good dinner and decent breakfast. Probably the best spot in town to get a bite as locals also frequent it to get take aways. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Gated parking.

The friendly owner and her staff made me feel right at home. The room was old fashioned and quirky, yet clean and comfortable. Maybe it's just me, but I love old places that's properly maintained. I will definitely be back sometime in the future.

A lovely nostalgic Inn. A majestic rich history well kept and clean. From the creaking floor boards to high pressed ceilings this Inn is quant, quite and welcoming.

Rooms were old, passage was noisy when other travelers arrived late at night/ early morning. Passage lightning was annoying at night coming through the window above the room door.

We would've had a better experience at this hotel if we'd gotten the specific room we had purposefully booked - on the 1st floor with a shower (Family Room with Balcony and shower). Yet when we checked in, it had mistakenly already been given to someone else, so they gave us a room on the ground floor with only a bath. As a result we had to bath, which is uncomfortable for us, and were woken up extremely early by the guests above us, walking around on the wooden floors. Apart from this unfortunate mistake, we enjoyed our stay.

The surrounding mountains of the town and hotel are beautiful. The lady who checked us in was very friendly and tried to accommodate our needs. Dinner was really tasty and breakfast also good.

I so much wish that the investors could turn Lady Grey into a tourist town that will come alive every weekend. Lady Grey has got potential.

If you’ve been to Clarens before, and like an antique setup, this is one place you must add to your bucket list. Viewing that mountain first thing in the morning was priceless.

The property needs a lot of maintenance. There were extension cords taped together throughout the room which is dangerous. Also there was no shower only a bath

The toilet was leaking and flooded the bathroom. There was no staff available to check me in, or assist with the plumbing issue

An extension plug that allows for the fridge, microwave and kettle to be plugged in at once - even if they can't be used at once.

Lovely olde world hotel built in the 1870s with a lot of the original floors and features retained . I booked a single room and was pleasantly surprised to be given a choice of double rooms :)

No water! We realise it is a municipal problem, but wished they provided water in a jug or bottled water.

We wanted to see Lady Brand and the scenery is beautiful! We lived it.
