Wifi was a little problematic in the second bedroom, but not a dealbreaker at all.

We received a wonderful and warm greeting from the team and they really made us feel at home and comfortable throughout our stay. We will definitely go back! The setting next to the river is amazing and we really enjoyed the spacious room.

Candi and Edmund made us feel so welcome, really brilliant hosts that where exceptionnally keen to share the secrets of the area. The lodge was very clean and tidy with new decor and finishes with a hint of quirkiness. Breakfast was great and we would be happy to stay again.

A very warm welcome from wonderful young hosts. A beautiful small property by the river with cosy seating areas. Canoeing and pedal boating available. We had a wonderful cottage with two rooms and even a well-equipped kitchen. Delicious breakfast with homemade bread. It’s a pity we stayed only one night – we would have loved to stay much longer. Many thanks for the wonderful time!

Everything! The property is stunning, extremely comfortable, spacious and well equipped with its own kitchen and private garden. The location on the river is great, and we enjoyed free use of the canoes. Only a short distance into Wilderness, and a lovely restaurant just over the road. Edmund on reception was great, so helpful, nothing was too much trouble. We wish could have stayed longer.

Toilet flush could use an upgrade - needs more power. And this is pretty minor, but given how excellent this place is, it could use an addition of decent conditioner separate from the ‘shampooing conditioner’ as an extra touch which goes a long way for comfort if you have long hair!

Stunning and cozy stay with a warm African vibe and exquisite decor! Highly recommend. The location was better than expected (better than the pictures), right on the lagoon. We got up at first light and floated out on the canoes (free to guests) to watch the egrets fly upstream at first light as recommended by the host. Breakfast also amazing, and service excellent. Also the restaurants the host recommended in Wilderness were some of the most delicious meals we had during our whole trip! Felt very well looked after at Moontide. We ended up staying an extra night even though we had something else booked because we liked it so much.

It was so good we came back and stayed again!

A beautifully curated, well appointed cluster of cottage style rooms in an idyllic setting overlooking the river. The attention to detail in both the service and facilities was delightful. Edmund and Candi looked after us and ensured we made the most of the locality. There is a restaurant nearby that you can walk to. We loved canoeing from the lodge. We look forward to returning to one of the best places we have ever stayed in.

Everything! Lovely greeting from Candi, given a beautiful room, The Boathouse, by the river. We lit the log fire and sipped the sherry and were very happy. We were given a delicious breakfast, and we shall be going back in a week’s time. It is paradise!

- The Spiders in our room (Rain Spiders were huge), but that is all. (I have a very very severe Arachnophobia) - Not spending enough time there as this place deserves time well spent there!

- The room was absolutely incredible and we wished that we could have spent so much more time there to maximise on everything that the property/grounds had to offer. - The breakfast was amazing and the staff were all so accomodating. We were leaving early on one day to go to a Game Reserve, and on our checkout we were given a box of fruit screwers and pastries, to ensure we didn't miss out. - The room (Tree Tops) was absolutely astonishing and I think about that outdoor shower every day, it's absolutely amazing. - Amazing Client Servicing and great local recommendations. - Cleanliness Shout out to Edmond for being the biggest legend and for encouraging us to take the canoes/kayaks out on a little adventure down the river of Wilderness.

Everything was just perfection! Location & view just paradise, views to die for. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. The rooms were beautifully furnished & spotlessly clean. Use of the kayaks to paddle down/up the river was a trip not to be missed and needed to be done to work off the delicious breakfast. Would definitely highly recommend and stay again

We loved it all : magical place on the river from where you can take canoes to go to a beautiful waterfall. Delicious breakfasts and great hosts . Maureen and Candy have been so helpful and nice . Edmund and all the staff were so friendly and helpful. Stay longer than two nights if possible we wish we booked longer. Phenomenal fishing, kayaking and hiking routes all literally at your front door. Heaven

Candi was amazing, so knowledgable with great tips on where to eat & what to so! She was also so accommodating - we wanted a room with more light & she gladly changed us! We loved the location & the canooing to the waterfall, the cooked breakfast choice was amazing - loved the aubergine & rosti. Recommend staying for more than 1 night as there's a lot of activities/hikes you can do in the area!
