Nothing to not like about Monchique,

Very friendly staff and the food was excellent,well located to Lanseria Airport.

As we were sharing the bed, I would suggest that the people get asked of their preverences.

What stood out for me was the privacy, the warmth from the staff and the convenience of the shuttle when we were stranded with transport.

All I can is that the manager had no business booking us into a room that has HEATED FLOORS!!! OMG!!! Please believe me when I tell you that we slept the entire night on the floor! Checking out what was the most difficult thing to do. Absolutely loved it

The welcoming was exceptional, very homely. The staff was friendly, even went the extra mile and prepared our bed for us, the sprigs of lavender and little chocolate were extremely thoughtful, the aircon was kept at moderate temperature and we came back to a warm room. The breakfast in the morning was absolutely tasty. Overall, good overnight stay.

Monchique was easy to find; well sign posted. We arrived late afternoon but were warmly welcomed. The room was great, clean and lovely towels. Breakfast included was a huge bonus and delicious. All the staff were excellent! Getting to the wedding venue at a closeby estate was easy with the shuttle service! I highly recommend Monchique to any visitors wanting something wonderful and real value for money!

Stayed in room 5 and the showers condition needs a little TLC.

Staff was friendly and very accommodating, especially Promise. The transfer service was a welcome surprise, and we made good use of this. Good breakfast included. Overall good stay.

There were spiders in the bathroom, the rooms were said to be soundproof and have pool views but we could hear the neighbours and they probably heard us as well. The view we had was of the driveway & back garden.

The staff was super friendly and made provision for our late check in. The furnishing and overall aesthetic of the guest house is beautiful.

Unfortunately, the room did not meet the 'luxury' expectations promised due to several small but important details, such as hard single-ply toilet paper, unattractive exposed plumbing and waste pipes in the bathroom, lack of coffee sachets, a small roof leak near the armchair, the need for a suitcase rack or bench to rest an overnight bag on, somewhat worn blinds, a long-stagnant water fountain in the courtyard, and several similar small quick-fixes and details that require attention to justify the 'luxury' description.

Conveniently close to wedding venues, a mostly peaceful area, safe and gated parking, friendly welcome and check-out, a comfortable bed with crisp clean linen, and air conditioning.

The check-out process took longer than necessary because they were not aware of the fact that I paid a 50% deposit (as per their request). There was a big spider in the room and although I didn't see a squirrel, I'm sure that there were squirrels (or something like that) in the room during the night. There were also mosquitos.

The room was a comfortable size and it had an airconditioner. The breakfast was very good and the service was also excellent. It was close to the wedding venue that we needed to go to and offered a shuttle but we did not utilise the service.

The room could have done with a lounge chair and a side table. It was big enough.

Great location for weddings in the area. The staff are really friendly and helpful. We were happy to find that our car had received a complementary wash on our check out date!
